Unchanged, same adjustments, slightly better bolsters.

Went along today. The car does look better in person than in pictures.
Grill is a bit plasticy though, not sold on the pattern. Back end looks great, love the tail lights and even the new low line wing. However I wont be getting one. It still has the worst driving position for anyone over 6,3". The seat is way too high at the lowest setting, and the wheel is sitting against my legs in the uppermost position! there is a massive gap between the column and the dash, cant see what this wasnt addressed. Given this was banged on about by the journo's since the FG's release...pretty annoying. Even the ford guy said he couldnt believe how bad the fit was for me. Like I wouldnt physically be able to drive the manual, due to my legs sticking between the wheel and console. bummer. interior is pretty underwhelming overall. Only real visual difference is seat skins, headlining, and dash & door spears being a fake carbon finish. it looks like a 6yr old design to tell the truth, and will detract from allot of potential buyers, given how good the VF interior is. |

If you pull the steering wheel out, you gain significantly more height

The matte finish around the shifter looks nice they should have used that up around the screen also the silver looks dated and not sure why you would use 2 different finishes

Too bad for the VF that it doesn't have the 335 sitting under its hood. I know what I'd prefer.

I have been a FG owner from the very start of production. I'm Tall and have a driving position that suits me fine. Would it be nice to have a lower feeling in the car, maybe. Is it worth bleating on and on about, NO. Nothing short of a new floor pan in conjunction with a new seat design was going to fix this "issue". Ford were never going to spend that sort of money or effort for a car that will be on sale in (low) numbers for just under two years.

It's actually a bit of a trend for performance cars NOT to have colour coded mirrors these days. See the new Maloo and other HSVs for examples.

6'3 here no problems with the seating for me, my height is mostly in legs though.
I also don't think the vf interior is that fantastic... I get not color coding the mirrors... but grey? why not black?

It's the same grey as the grill and fog light surrounds. In a sense, they are colour coded to those items rather than the body.

They appear to be Dark Argent from the photos I have seen which is a Ford Corporate thing...............some of the Johnny Come Latelys will simply not understand this and want body colour instead to suit personal taste. Cheers Mick Last edited by HO 3; 05-10-2014 at 01:08 AM. |

I just don't understand, I'm 6"3 and I don't have the slightest problem. I'm confortable as...seems strange, how tall are you.
I also have a low riding, low seating cayman, so Its not like I don't know what true sport seating is, but I've never been unhappy with falcon, love the leg room, headroom and don t have this steering wheel height issue you and others seem to have. Now cayman is cramped for a tall guy I can say that for sure, but where there's a will theres a way
