Anyone know how many FG XR8 were built/sold?
Was there the same hype being that it was going to be the last XR8 at the time?

Dont know about the numbers sold but Ford wasnt shutting up shop and you could still buy a GT so not much hype back then. Now its the last ever V8 performance car from Ford Aus.

There was also talk at the time of it possibly returning in the future, so people may not have been as worried about it being the last one ever.

I hope this happens to a few prospective buyers: leaves more XR8 autos for me to choose from

Also, no GTs in Emperor :(

Just a quick one, can anyone tell me whether or not the G6E has different interior material like it was in the FG? I don't recall seeing any pictures of the inside of a G6E FGX

Yeah it was the Xr8 at the ford Launch event.
Just love the FG FPV styling overall and it feels a bit more special to me, having aspired to owning one. I was left a little underwhelmed by the FGX interior given there wan no change, and the exterior I was 50/50 on.

I've wanted an f6 or GT335 for ages, and the perfect car came up, low kms at a great price so I jumped on it.

And was not serious. Of course more were made, but were not many, hence, they disappeared without a whimper.

I'm sure I would miss the Nitro Colour. Nitro was a standout (in my opinion).

I'm not sold on the Victory Gold
Breeze would suit it perfectly though.

Yep, the only one I'll see will most likely be when mine is delivered. Fingers crossed it looks the goods!

Yeah today, to work at uni.

I like that Gold in the CGis, but I just don't know how well it will age, like nearly every gold/orange/yellow colour ever on a non-funny car. I'm torn between the two blues and Emperor, good thing I've got months to make my mind up!

Victory gold looks good in the flesh, it's a bit of a bronze colour.

Yeah I'm keen to see it in the flesh, as I think it is the most 'standout' of the colour palette. That is, of the selection of XR8 colours, that is the one I'm most likely to notice at a roundabout or in my rear mirrors.

Great photo from the "last ever GT rolls off factory floor" article at the toilet paper telegraph.
