Xr8 needs some bright colors like fg Xr8 when it came out or others. Dash, nitro, rapid, octane, venom red, toxic, phantom, or give u the option any previous falcon color u want at extra cost just 2 name a few. Just my 2 cents worth.

I was hoping i would love it in the flesh, but seeing that bronze one in the flesh today I was underwhelmed. I need to see a black one before I call it.

I would love Octane and I have had 2 black cars so I have ordered Victory but not till second allocations. None of the other colours do it for me so if VG doesnt it looks like it will be black again.

What was interesting about the XR8 grill i saw today (at Bathurst) was the 'zig-zag' profile of the grill, almost impossible to photograph, but imagine a dozen or so vertical waves going from one side of the grill to the other. Sounded ace, too!

Why have FORD not released official PHOTOS of the cars.... why are they still persisting with CGI?

Did they even do photos for FG? All I remember is the CGI renders which everyone (including myself) said looked like poo but then it grew on us.
It wasn't until the car review sites/magazines got hold of the physical cars were they able to do professional shoots.

If Ford have taken official photos for release then they haven't released them effectively - If I'm an enthusiast keeping an eye on all things FGX, and I don't recall seeing anything official, then imagine the general population's perception?

This is a justified criticism IMHO and not just a whinge.

The haven't done an official release, first day of production was only this week, all cars being seen before now are test mules and may have differed from final production, ford has rigorous criteria they test the cars too.

Agreed! This was their opportunity to sticker it up and give us a look at how good it could look, and compare it to the sticker packs on the GT. Alas, they've gone with a roll of contact and gotten the local kindy kids to apply it. Great car, but the stickering is a total let down. I can just imagine the Holden fans laughing their rings off when they see this on the weekend.
