If you could just add a bit of flour and milk to your diet, you could use your butter, salt and low-carb vegetables to make pumpkin scones. Go on, live dangerously.

I made one comment and pretty much the entire page is attacking me - boo hoo.
The hole page is in question. It's no coincidence that all the pro-Andrews, pro vaccine, anti-Trump lefties frequent the Anxiety and depression thread. |

Being well old enough to remember Lady Flo’s pumpkin scones, I had a great laugh at Trendseeker’s suggestion.
Aside from that… Why has so little airtime been given - comparatively - to the possible vaccine related death of a Queenslander injected with the “safer” Pfizer vaccine? It puzzles me. I’m not suggesting anything other than perhaps media fatigue, but remain confused. Aside from that, oh my, another suggestion of our government changing up its plans yet again and reported data that shows vaccination rates are down by a third on their already low-aiming trajectory. Plus the much-heralded “great leaps forward” that are yet to bear fruit; using the Army and establishment of mass vaccination hubs. It’s becoming the not-unexpected political circus of statements and policy shifts, rather than achievements. My original ideas of taking all comers, offering each injection with a couple of drinks and a lottery ticket/JB gift card/tattoo voucher, might have actually been both cheaper and much faster. What’s happening is shaming our leadership and - by dint of us as electors - highlighting our inability to find better governance of any stripe. It’s also continuing to prejudice our much sought “return to the world”. |

And to keep it on topic. It's dear supreme leader Dan to you. And his team has just injected $50m into a Melb facility that could "soon" start producing mRNA vaccines. Bravo! All power to you Coupeking, we're all different Thankfully.
My overall take of late is watching and reading the Feds do everything wrong in the big picture.......I sure am not saying they are doing brilliant but considering the bumbling position we are in compared to most of the Globe we are living the new dream people offshore wish for. Yet all there is is whinge whinge whinge. What are all the, hold on only pfizer pref jabbers gonna do now me wonder. and a huge C+ to Dan's understudy - slow burn trail blazer, Touch of the belt they keep secos away, ooops I shouldn't.

Pfizer won't be offered to <50 at all now with few exceptions. Part of the phase 2A will be brought forward for >50 using AZ from May. Pretty predictable.
India arrivals reduced. |

"Professor Murphy said that fact, combined with the new advice, meant Pfizer supplies had to be strictly controlled to ensure they reached the targeted recipients. Given Australia has greater access to AstraZeneca shots, Professor Murphy said Pfizer supplies had to be strictly controlled to ensure they reached targeted recipients. "With a few exceptions, Pfizer is now restricted to those under 50," he said."

Six Victorians identified as close contacts of suspected NSW hotel quarantine COVID transmission
https://www.theage.com.au/national/s...22-p57lk9.html Just in time for ANZAC day 6 sounds like a very small number for close contacts. Decision to keep numbers down for the march doesn't look that unreasonable after all. I think you made Leesa's heart skip a beat for a sec there... |

To be fair they did word it poorly, but I'm pretty sure they mean to say that pfizer is limited to people under 50 and not over 50. |

WA (Perth and Peel) in lockdown for 3 days from midnight tonight. The Victorian man, who had completed 14 days quarantine in Perth, was in the Perth community for five days while possibly infectious.
Is VIC next?? edit: Link attached. https://7news.com.au/news/wa/perth-c...tive-c-2667731 Last edited by Tickford.; 23-04-2021 at 04:56 PM. |

So if my maths is right, 14 +5+1.. that's 20 days after entering Australia that this individual has tested positive.
I've said it before, 14 days quarantine is not enough. |

Thank you WA for doing the right thing, taking the 3 day hit, to hopefully stop further spread. Will Vic follow? I think that will large depend on where he has been, and who his close contacts are, and whether they test positive in the next couple of days. |

Interestingly, just this afternoon the ABC was reporting that there had be a 70-80% cancellation on vaccination appointments from front line workers.
I don't know who they were interviewing, but the other person said we needed an outbreak to change that attitude. |

If they came into contact with the man on April 21, wouldn't it take several days to become infected, and be infectious? Getting a negative result 2-3 days after contact doesn't mean you will not be positive and/or infectious at a later date. |
