Saw this xr6t driving through Ivanhoe on the weeked... Followed him for a bit until he came to a stop! Was a very nice guy who didn't mind my stalking and allowed me to take a few pics... Victory gold looks amazing in the flesh!

I know alot of people have posted up pics of the FGX from Bathurst, and here are my pics.
The FGX did attract alot of attention Dick Johnson giving it heaps at McPhillamy As the FGX was being driven out after the race on Sunday This was up the top of the mountain, one of the evaluation vehicles i think the guy said. I liked the black one alot better. He started it for us, sounded pretty good for stock bimodal. Behind the buldge

Great photos!
Makes me even more sad that there will be no more Falcon after this. Can't wait to buy one.

Awesome shots, shows that there are a lot of sexy angles of the FG X that just don't get captured often.
Now, can we make a reverse cowl out of that thing?

Now we are getting some better pics these are really growing in me, that Victory Gold XR6T looks great and the reverse cowl style bulge on the xr8 is a great throwback to the Aussie muscle car era.

Those seats look like a big improvement over the FG leather which is very poor.

Any videos of Dick Johnson behind the wheel of the new FG X Falcon XR8? Just like the James Courtney press conference video of the drive around Bathurst in the GT 335?

Now thats cookin. Enough of this flyby phone cam biz!! And Ford, can the CGI's and get on with the show....
Blacks still not working for me. The car needs the contrasts like FG2 to avoid being plastic overwhelmed.

You can do that when you've got a 5D and know how to use it

...and didn't Dicky give it some!
For about 3-4 laps, flat stick, blipping the throttle on down-shifts, sounding awesome through the quad pipes. Those lucky punters on-board got a nice white-knuckle-ride! A memorable experience, even from a spectator's viewpoint. (apologies for no footage, either - got the 737 Boeing, but)

How is it Ford didn't do any advertising of the "New Falcon" over the weekend?

Ps if Ford pull out of the V8's as the rumour suggests after back to back wins at bathurst they can go *** emselves. Ford fans deserve a good ending, as good as it can be.. That means running the FGX in the V8s for at least 3 years after they stop making the production model. No reason this can't happen. Or what now FoMoCo is busted as well n can't spare a few more mill to support a country that's supported them for the majority of the time here in Aus. I'll be insulted if they pull FPR this year or even next.
Rant over.. I was due haha! |

The bimodal is not controlled on a hit rev x and it opens the valves unless you accelerate slowly. The bimodal is controlled (by the PCM?) in the following way. 1. Open at idle (which the car in the youtube above was) 2. Closed at light acceleration until X revs (seems to be about 4k somewhere). 3. Open when you nail it 100% of the time. Of course the easiest thing to do is disconnect the hose (which I just did about 2 hours ago on mine) and it sounds awesome 100% of the time under light acceleration.
