Can anyone tell what side drive is it?
There is no LEFT HAND DRIVE sticker plastered on the back which is why I think it might be RHD?

ive followed this car into Lara a few times over the last couple of weeks, looks a fair bit bigger than a Mondeo, and this could just be the camo giving this impression, but bigger than a Falcon too...

Well, if it's the car that will ultimately replace the last Falcon, sure it does?

But it's not a Falcon....so peeps can start another thread a jump for joy there. This one should be left to the Falcon with perhaps the exception of its current direct opposition. It's the last time we get to discuss it after all.

Also do you think the 430kw VF HSV GTS is better value for money, even though it is around $30k dearer? You seem to get a lot more for your money. Last edited by Alan D Segal; 29-10-2014 at 09:52 AM. |

Based at $100000 and my drive away price leasing u can change around 30k to 47k difference yes that's right almost half the cost. That's a null n void comment. What gives u any indication your commodore comments are wanted on this thread?

If you'd read other posts you'd see another member had said this thread is about the last falcon and that it was perhaps ok to discuss direct competitors in this thread.
Now, the falcon's long time direct competitor is the commodore. The best current model falcon variant is the XR8. The best current holden variant is the GTS (but it is a HSV). So it is the closest direct competitor (but much more expensive, as I said). Also, if you'd read my other posts around here and saw this symbol you'd realise I was wasn't being entirely serious. Hence my references to another well-known troll's posting style and the phrase 'bottom feeder'. |

I can't afford either, but to be honest if I could or if someone was going to gift me one I'd pick the GTS all day long. I base this decision on these reasons:
1. Both have more than enough performance. 2. GTS looks better to me. 3. $47k worth of modifications has basically no residual value. 4. It is highly unlikely that a XR8 with $47k worth of mods would be roadworthy/pass EPA. 5. GTS will probably always have better resale value, so would be more of an asset to me. What about you? What mods would you spend $47k on for your XR8 and what gains do you expect from them? |

Alan D Segal,
Who gives a ****. The GTS is no comparison. If we want to compare berrys with berrys lets park the old SSV Redline next to the FGX XR8, and see how that compares. Holden have not even committed to standard fitment of the 6.2 in Redline yet. Even then it will be behind the 8 ball compared to the XR8.

No actually I don't.. I'm just bemused that your talking up a GTS on an FGX thread. I disagree with everything uve said and have no intentions to take this convo any further.
Enjoy your GTS should someone ever give one too u as a gift. I will enjoy my XR8 early next year n put plenty of commodores too the sword in 2015!! |
