Plus I'd rather let the boys build a few get into a rhythm with the FGX XR8 builds then purchase one. |

anyone keen to upgrade their FG with the new 19" wheels from the XR8, I checked pricing and availability today. They're in the system, the front wheels (19x8) are around $525 each, the rears (19x9) were around $575 each. Availability is... not yet. I was told that once the car is released (apparently first models arriving mid November?) they will be able to update me.

Speaking of VF...I was behind a ss today and it had a little lip/duck tail spoiler that would look really nice on the FGX.

If you don't get it, I guess you never will. I am in it for the car, not a plate and not for some perceived resale.

It is all about the car but I still insisted mine had to be a 2015 plate. Mostly because 5 is my lucky number. I also never intend to sell it and like others just had to have the last V8 falcon so much so my beautiful FG F6 has to go to make it happen. I was informed yesterday my car is now been brought forward to a January build as my dealer managed to change there first allocation car from and auto to a manual as well as victory gold to white so no more 5 month wait for me. Even though they stated it was locked in by ford as an auto in there build schedule. Mine will be the first XR8 my dealer aquires. Fun times ahead!

After seeing the archaic and ordinary looking dashboard of the Mustang i would take the XR8 without any hesitation even if its dash layout is six years old.

I have read that the total build number for the new XR8 is likely to be around the 1400 mark.
Does anybody know how many XR8 cars are likely to roll off the line per month?

The gold looks so much better in sunlight.
I would still like to see a lip spoiler for it, I dont know, the rear looks "tall" with that spoiler. Not bad just big. Sorry for the VF pic..

Is a boot lip spoiler of a G6ET not good enough for you. |

I have a copy of the latest component supply schedule (supply estimates for the parts my division supplies) which covers a good 6-8 months ahead. Whilst these are only a guide, and not firm orders, they give you a rough idea. Allowing for variations in supply volume batches VS actual daily usage, my best guess is that it seems to be anywhere between 100-130/month for the next 6 months or so. In saying that, I don't know what they may have stockpiled already, as we supplied a lot more than 500 sets prior to the GT-F build, so there would still be a lot of motors being built to stock before release. This will skew the figures for the early months. |

Is it an option on the XR series? And as above, since its a DIRECT and traditional competitor its hardly off topic.

It is offensive to the eye. And I meant is a photo of a G6ET not good enough for you to get your point across, without having to visually defecate in this thread by way of the that VF photo. |

G6ET doesnt come with a bootlip spoiler anymore.
Not sure if an FG one will fit an FGX.

It's about the fact that a photo of a Falcon could have been used to get the point across rather than an over sized photo of VF. Maybe I am being a bit precious |

Body colour suits XR6 with the single pipe but chrome better suits the XR8 with the quad pipes.
