I suggested a while bcak that people may do front and or rear conversions and was told I was basically out of my mind lol. Know of one person doing it already and probably more to come.

Why all the talk of conversions? Why not just buy the car in question?

That will probably be the next Falcon upgrade in 5 years time when Ford Au decide to reintroduce a 4 door RWD platform and yet again, call it the "Falcon GT"................but this time being manufactured in China Cheers Mick |

I reckon Kinetic or Vanish is the pick of the colour palette. I may be biased towards the blue (depsite my favourite colour being green) because the car I have now has one of the best blue colours being 02C. Some guys here might get it

Always wanted to see an 02C next to a Shockwave, they look close in photos.
Kinetic is the winner for me for the FG X. |

I love cars that give you great sound from engine and exhaust, years ago had a Ford 1600 rally car with 2 side draft webbers with socks, beautiful sound even if I could not beat SLR500's past a certain upper speed point.
Marriage, children, now have a Honda Euro with 6sp. Love the handling round tight higher speed corners, flat, thought ok I can live with this... My brother bought a AMG C63 with power pack, drove up together from Melbourne to Newcastle. The AMG was like a virgin that was buggered and busted on every level imaginable by both of us. Got back to my Honda- meh-meh-meh- no guts. Took the AMG C45 for run- skittish and that small turbo narrow window of non linear power. Crappy engine sound, poppy exhaust that sound toy like and try hard...no good. Took a BMW M3 with 4 litre V8 for a ride, nice handling, great manual box, brakes not so good, and the engine had surprisingly little grunt below 4000 revs, above 4500 pure bliss- but not that linear grunt rush of amgc63... Took an F6 that was very new with mods (plazzaman springs, herrod piping, bigger intercooler, throttle body,) - insane insane power, but not linear and unusable on corners and real life driving, did not like the massive hovercraft wooshing before take off, non linear power with insane widow maker potential attempting to use power on corners, back end as loose as well- you get the drift. Now, I want a car like the amg C63 with linear grunt, an engine like a musical instrument that you can get all aural delights from, a manual box cause I love doing corners and heel and toeing, and rear wheel drive. Got a XR8 on order in manual and smoke.... |

The non linear rush is the best thing about the I6T. Brsides, once it's on, it stays on.

Turbo boost is more a wheels straight squirt proposition, tiptoe through corner -squirt on again. Do not get me wrong, F6 and turbo 6 are great, just different drive that's all. The AMGC63 and Xr8 and their ilk also are different, and my sense of driving aesthetics prefers that linear power ( I love real life corners and using the manual box to balance and steer through). Similarly for instance a Porsche Boxer S was very linear in delivery and is just fantastic to punt and throttle steer through corners (but I ruled that one out cause of 2 seats, no luggage space to carry a portable office etc). All good though. Last edited by asagaai; 01-11-2014 at 01:25 PM. |

Do the 335s actually sound like that or is this a bit louder?

Took me a few days to get accustomed to the F6 and its big low down torque hit but since then i love it, just got to respect it in the wet (typical torquey RWD though) that is all.

Full vehicle specs and options are now online on FOA website.
For the coin, these falcons in whatever variant are very competitive. The XR8 is distinctly differentiated too.. Noticed the manual XR8 gets 3.73 diff gears, bring it on!!!!

QUOTE] Hmmm, I notice the EcoBoost engine has lost a few ponies in the transition to FG X. Was 179kw in FG MK II, now 176kw.
