I think I mentioned once before, a few years ago my son cashed in some etherium, enough for a good deposit on a home. He kept a bit.
He's been smashing his mortgage working extra shifts ( ICU nurse). He's waiting a bit longer with his remaining etherium to cash in and knock off his mortgage completely.

Look on the bright side, when we are all under the CBDC and the powers to be deem any comments/actions that you have made on here on FF undesirable, so they freeze your accounts,(Canadian truckie style) you will have $11.74 to spend on anything your heart desires.

Bitcoin about to hit A$100,000. I am thinking of selling but my son said to hold on to it it will go more. I want to sell the lot, then when it drops back down buy it all back and wait again. If I sell all bitcoin today I would have 4x my investment.

No one knows. Some people say it's hit peak, others say it will hit 100K some say 250K.
Who knows? I am conservative and think 100K. If you have some be ready to sell or set your stop losses.

Wifes Uncle just sold the last of his that he bought for $1 in 2011. They sold most of their 2500 BTC when it hit $18000 I think in 2017. They are all cashed out now with this latest rise and have an epic property and house right on the beach. Bit of a success story, middle income family that got to retire early.

I could have retired 10 years ago if I had just put $100 into it. It's only my son that convinced me to put a few $$ into Crypto, I started putting $50 a week during covid just to keep him quiet. Mind you he just cashed out $14,000 for a $500 investment he did on one coin with money he earned working after school at our local take away shop and he's only 18 and been investing into crypto since he turned 16. I have done very well, many of my alt coins are now 'free' as I have cashed out all my investment and just kept the free coins. Many are up well over 1000% now. In the last few weeks been making more money in a day than what most earn in a fortnight working. Everyone's saying that it's early days. These days the first thing I do in the morning is check all investments adjusting stop losses and buying and selling as I see fit while I have my coffee before heading to work I have a figure in mind when I will cash out and walk away. If I reach that I will take a nice overseas holiday and put about half aside to buy the ruins after it crashes.

Had two small dips.
Hoping bitcoin will hit 150K before it crashes down to 15K. I bought about 4,000,000 LUNC after it crashed from $150 to almost nothing, cost me $500, doubled my money on it so far, but holding it hoping it will recover to even just 5 cents, imagine if it goes to 25 cents or a dollar. And realistically there is no reason it can't do that tomorrow or in five years time. Risk to reward ratio is very good if it eats my $500 my life will not change and I will live the same I do today if it goes to 25 cents it will be early retirement for me. I mean I could sell 2,000,000 now and get all my my money back and let the rest ride for ever at no cost to me, but for $500 I am good, $500 won't change my life.

Got cold feet today and sold all my Solana and Bitcoin today.
So far I have never lost money on any Crypto and have always walked away with a nice profit. I keep a ledger to keep track of everything and I sell when I get scared. Paid $20 a coin for Solana in the recent dip and sold for $260 a coin today. Bought Bitcoin at 25K about this time last year and sold today at 112K No point being greedy and waiting for it to go even more, I was getting too restless thinking it will crash. I really think the most those two coins will do is double in the next 12 months before crashing, it's like playing chicken no one knows what will happen. Plus now I can put some of that profit into buying coins that are more likely to 10X or 30X in the next year and it's all free money as my original investment and a nice profit is back in the bank and I have play money to hopefully make some more $$

You’ve done pretty well there. I want to ride out at least one more heavy dip and rise before taking any profits. Getting more confident, less “twitchy” about it…
The amazing run Ethereum had, seems to be slowing. |

I sill have a heap of other 'crap coins' that are doing well, like SHIBA, PEPE, BONK, FLOKI. All doing pretty well. Got a little bit of ADA, some gaming coins like GALA, SUPER and BEAM, they recon gaming will do well, I bought 60,000 BEAM a little while back hoping it will do something. I will try and ride those to the top. I do have a sell figure in mind for all of them, if they crash before that I will just hold them till they come back. Never invest money in Crypto you can not afford to leave there indefinitely. You have not lost anything till you sell. Pretty much everything I have is in the green now apart from some old DOGE that I paid too much for when it was being hyped and when I first started.

Yes, unless you're running a mining business. then you can claim your expenses against the profits.

It was up around AUD$1.22 a few weeks back from memory. Was that not enough to make a tidy profit over two years - you’d have likely bought in around $1?

Nice to know it hit $1.22 recently, i didnt see that.
I bought $1k of ripple and 3 sleeps later it went over $4 . It was my first crypto purchase and was thinking You Beauty. It then tanked as I did nothing and still Hodling (if that term is still used) |

I’m in error, $1.24 was nine months ago. November ‘23 saw $1.13 and more recently it made $1.12 - not sold on its risks any more myself.

I use coinspot whether or not you boys trade on it, the highest it went to was 1.12 that I saw and that pretty much was what I bought it for years back and yeah, I always keep hearing it’s meant to blow up and it never has which is depressing, I need cash bad lol. What hurt to watch was Pepe going up like 500% and not investing like $1000 in it, because I thought it would die on its ***.

July 19th, 2023 was around when Ripple topped out in the recent past. (AUD$1.245910) It was fairly brief, if you didn’t have any alerts set it could have been missed.

Never had an issue, easy to deposit and withdraw money from, easy to use. And I love the recent upgrade to their site, where you can now instantly view your total value, average buy in price and any profit/loss for each of your wallets in both $$ and %. Bought FLOKI when it first got listed on coin spot, up 800% this morning, I was up over 1000% before the recent dip. I think it will go a lot more. I took my initial investment out when it hit 1000% so they all free coins now and they owe me nothing. Held XRP for two years roughly, up 31% so better than money in the bank. I'll sell it when it hits about A$3
