Why is it when companies are found to be incorrectly paying their employees, the errors are always on the low side? I am yet to hear in the news of a company being identified of accidentally over-paying their employees.

I heard of that only today, a $900K (net) doubling up of contractor payments. In Sydney, this year. My source is impeccable.
Apparently there is some dispute as to whom will carry the can. |

I can remember a company overpaying one of their workers and then he left, they run a little business delivering envelopes and parcels. I think its the reason why we now pay $1.10 for a stamp so they can recoup some of the money he refused to give back.

Everyone got an email saying the overpayment MUST be returned within 48 hours. Yet when they miss something and underpay us it’s always “oh we will pay that next pay cycle” During the overpay situation the stubborn employees kept the overpayment until the next pay cycle before returning it just out of principle. |

Do as I say, not as I do. A fine example of poetic justice.

Why is it, the bagged salad bay at coles always has 3 chicks standing there gawking, blocking access with their trolleys. It like, sweetheart, you’re choosing salad, not a husband, grab it and get out of the way!

Why is it that 232 years since the English language arrived in Australia that no regional accents have developed?

Same with some parts of victoria. They seem to pronaounce the A in words like dance or prance a bit more then say, people in western sydney. But atleast its still fully understandable. I work with 2 english blokes and an irish bloke. When those 3 guys have a conversarion amongst themselves you cant understand a single word from any of them.

I was raised with an accent, the outcome of having parents who migrated here. Have worked hard to lose most of it; still can’t bring myself to not say plarnt or darnce.

The austrailian people. You right isnt a greeting over here, thems fighting words. Yes im joking. Its the slang and different words for things. My dad was delayed learning to read only because his mum had a thick scottish accent. To him that was normal. My kid has also had a hard time. But he was hearing impared which was improved after surgury.

A guy I know says he can easily notice regional accents. I don't notice regions, but I notice the difference between Country/farmer, Bogan, regular and cultivated. |

Why is it all of Elvis Presley's movies are crap? Watching "Frankie and Johnny" from 1966 when I should be at Albert Park today.

…That the plenum joining gasket for a BA is much cheaper than the manifold-to-head gasket?

Why is it when you are tested by a doctor they tell you that you are above average? Observation of people in public I conclude they are not a good benchmark. Therefore being average of just above average is nothing special.
I'd like to see five categories: 1) Excellent health (keep doing the same) 2) Good health (but there is room for improvement) 3) Acceptable health (only for those who accept mediocre) 4) Poor health (make some drastic lifestyle changes) 5) Terrible health (seek medical attention immediately)

2 questions are bugging me at the moment-
Since when has caramel been “salted”, and why is KFC now referred to “Dirty Bird”? Did I miss the memo?
