With leasing it purely depends how they structure the lease, ford has for the last twelve months been on a new structure that revolves around the end user, not the buyer, so if you are a private buyer using a novated lease to offset your tax, ford don't offer a massive discount on there end, its all on the dealers part, especially when cars are so heavily discounted, new models however are not discounted, fg mk2 xr6's are around 10k off at the campaign price, that's for everyone, so they can't give much more than this, but on a new model there is no discounted price, this allows dealers to give bigger incentives to earn a lease company business.

This is why Ford are f@@ked. I expressed this to my salesperson last week.
No product knowledge by 99% of Fords sales people and **** poor at returning calls.
I let him have it. ( TBH he was great and took my complaints on and got on with trying to sell me an XR8. ) So I am yet to pull the trigger on an XR8 in either black or White.
$57.6k is a bargin for that car though.

G'day Martin.

McGrath's in Belco have a white XR6 ute and a smoke XR6 sedan on the lot. Had a quick sqiz today when I went in to ask the service dept something. The Smoke colour looked the goods, this was by backup choice if Kinetic was not available.

Cheers,
Garry.

No, he meant what he said, he was adamant he was right even though I tried to tell him otherwise. A simple check on Carsales would have given him the answer.

Had a peak through glass into my local Ford dealership Saturday and they had 5 FGX Falcons in there, mixture of 1 Ute and 4 sedans,no XR8, the G6E looked very nice, don't know about the tan seats though, dealership rang today to give my price on my alarm, they still dont know my delivery date of my XR8, they have 4 others with deposits

There probably isn't enough room, the pneumatic engravers can't really go too small.

Not a veiled attack at all.............i stated it straight up, and i wasnt attacking GTs either...........i mentioned a part of FPV styling ( Panda Eyes) that i am well and truely on the record not caring for. I get it, they are put there to gives the cars more road presence, and an aggressive tough look, however this look has always been totally lost on me. Without seeing one in the flesh yet, i think the FGX Falcons simple front end styling somehow manages to pull off a tough road presence, maybe its those lights, i dont know. Yes i know.............."But its not a GT"

Cheers Mick

Talking Re: FGX, The Last EVER Falcon - Picture & Discussion Thread

I was advised today that the estimated date of my delivery of my smoke coloured XR8 at Denmac Ford is 20 Dec 14. So despite what some sales people are saying they are being built and dispatched for delivery. I popped into the dealership this afternoon on my way home to have a look at a Kinetic coloured XR6 sedan that appeared on the lot today. I suspect it will be snapped by an eager buyer quite quickly because it does have a nice presence.

I must admit the colour does not do it me but the overall design of the car does. Got a chance to also go through a new FG 2 on the same lot and I must they are chalk and cheese in terms of the interior fit out. The most notable comparative is the use of leather seats in the FG X which are both very comfortable in the back and front whereas the FG had cloth covered seats, but also comfortable!

Theres a whole thread about it in the Performance section under FPV 5.0 supercharged coyote.

Btw I think the initials you are looking for are somewhere under the supercharger snout.

So it's only the xr8 that gets the black roof lining?
That image of the G6E, externally, these are the type of pics Ford needs to use not those ****y cgi things that look unreal and fake.
As for the internal colour combo of tan roof lining, black sides then the terracotta, sorry , too busy, if that roof lining was black I reckon the terracotta would look fantastic
Side note, went and checked out a xr8 yesterday in white for the first time, i do reckon it looks great and yes the front still on certain angles looks a bit too long. I was really suprised how good the black roof lining looked and have to admit for me the bonnet buldge would have looked a little better if it stopped before the windscreen and did not go all the way to the windscreen, that's just my opinion though,
Mind you the sales rep said something similar and was talking of maybe just fitting the boss 335 lettering on the buldge just to highlight it a bit more
Overall looked the goods and if I did not have the GTE I'd have definitely brought one ...
Hmmm wonder if I can convince the other have to trade the au in for one...

Exactly my thoughts. It needs to have the seats highlighted, and everything else black.

Perhaps it would have been better to offer that colour scheme in the xr8 only? Holden did similar for years with the hero colours & matching interior trim in the SS. Some were good, some not so (think hyper yellow in the VX).

There's a number of euros that have offered a similar B.S.B. colour on the leather, and they all have dark trim & headlining. It works for them.

(BSB = baby **** brown).

Pretty sure the XR6 gets it too. The XR6T I saw at the weekend had it.
