As for the internal colour combo of tan roof lining, black sides then the terracotta, sorry , too busy, if that roof lining was black I reckon the terracotta would look fantastic
Side note, went and checked out a xr8 yesterday in white for the first time, i do reckon it looks great and yes the front still on certain angles looks a bit too long. I was really suprised how good the black roof lining looked and have to admit for me the bonnet buldge would have looked a little better if it stopped before the windscreen and did not go all the way to the windscreen, that's just my opinion though,
Mind you the sales rep said something similar and was talking of maybe just fitting the boss 335 lettering on the buldge just to highlight it a bit more
Overall looked the goods and if I did not have the GTE I'd have definitely brought one ...
Hmmm wonder if I can convince the other have to trade the au in for one...
Maybe wrong but i think it was mentioned as an XR feature, so i think all XRs get the black roof lining.

Cheers Mick

Pretty sure the XR6 gets it too. The XR6T I saw at the weekend had it.
I was told it was black across the Falcon range

XR's all get black as does G6E T.

The XT & G6E get cream.

That brown leather interior is just all wrong with the beige headlining. Talk about a clash - they should use the XR's charcoal headlining if someone options the tan leather interior.

Actually I don’t mind that brown leather interior but there is no way I could have it with an Octane exterior.

Tan leather was a good idea but poorly executed IMO. None of the plastics or carpet is colour coded like it was with cashmere, it looks like an afterthought (and let's be honest it probably was). Headlining would have been better in black.

Perhaps it would have been better to offer that colour scheme in the xr8 only? Holden did similar for years with the hero colours & matching interior trim in the SS. Some were good, some not so (think hyper yellow in the VX).

There's a number of euros that have offered a similar B.S.B. colour on the leather, and they all have dark trim & headlining. It works for them.

(BSB = baby **** brown).
Really?

BMW interior - the limp ***** handbrake is a nice touch too

Not a fan of the tan/orange interior.

I prefer a light coloured roof lining. It feels more "open" than a dark coloured roof lining.

There is a new FGX XR6 turbo ute for less than $40K driveaway on carsales and auto XR6 ute for $34,990 driveaway.

The prices they were quoting you seem way too high...........

G6ETurbo has the black headlining as well, its the only one in the G series range to get it.
The car in the pictures is only an NA G6E hence why it has the cream/beige rooflining and associated plastics

Can anyone photoshop the grey coloured grill trim to red on an XR8 picture?
Just wondering how it would look.

Discussions are being had... I'd say there's no rush for an auto.

"We haven't spoken about XR8 volume but it's fair to say we have under-called the volume," said Ford Australia general manager marketing, David Katich.
"We are just reviewing that now. Remember, the product has only been in the marketplace liter-ally the last few days at dealerships. So we are trying to get a handle now on what that XR8 de-mand is.
"Will it be higher than what we forecast? Absolutely, but we will gauge that demand over the next couple of months and make adjustments."
The most obvious potential restriction on increased XR8 supply is its superseded ZF HP26 auto-matic transmission. However, it is understood Ford Australia has already been in discussions with the German company to gain further supplies.

Find capital, open up a lhd aftermarket workshop, and export them to lhd countries? Pretty sure the saudis would love to go sideways in something a bit more capable than a sonata or camry.
