KFC - you can't eat 'in' the restaurant - that's fine, I can sorta see the logic.
BUT, I can't eat outside the restaurant on the provided seats. However, if I take 2 steps further and sit on the gutter of the car park I'm more than welcome to eat my order...

Why is it politicians are saying we need to pull together as a community so that we can get through this crisis when it is being together which is causing the crisis!

Why is it that NONE of the horoscopes predictions at the start of 2020 mentioned anything about corona cirus?

When I was a lad growing up I swore I could see the pattern of the brickwork behind the render and several layers of paint on my bedroom wall.
No one else could see it. Now in my own house with internal brickwork and half an inch of render and paint and with the lighting just right I can also make out the brickwork pattern behind all of it?!?! How can that happen? I've asked a few others if they can see it and they look at me all confused? It shouldn't be possible! Anyone else have X-ray vision or am I the only mutant here?

Why is it there is no helping some people. So my team at work consisted of myself, another service electrician and a globe jockey. Our globe jockey wasnt the smartest guy, but he was a lovely bloke. To be fair, there isnt a guy i work with who i wouldnt have a beer with. Anyhow, the other service guy and myself, everytime we heard from management the dumb things the young bloke was getting into trouble for, we would try help the guy out. Stuff like paperwork, ordering gear, answering the phone or atleast calling back, replying to emails, simple stuff. Work tightened the screws because of 1 person. I was off work on tuesday, but my manager is a mate so i answered his call on tuesday and it was just a rant how the young bloke wouldnt respond to phone calls and he even called the building security where he should have been working in case he had hurt himself. But this bloke rocked up an hour late then left not too long after. So my manager was doing the right thing. Rolled into my office this morning to drop my car off to get sign written. The young bloke got sacked on the spot yesterday. Nothing to do with the economic situation. But its not like he had 2 people trying to help keep him in a job. Its not a good time to be out of work when you still had a meaningful 40 hours work in an essential industry.

Mate, it wasnt even forced advice, we all are mates. It was a case of hey mate, work will clamp down if you dont do this or that. And thats not just from me, it was from other people. We arent afraid of management. Everybody gets along on the social level. Its a whole stack of small things that we all do autonomously because its our job that he wouldnt comply to that was the demise. On a personal level i feel bad for the guy, but work is work, if you cant do the simple things like sign in to sites or paperwork, thats the easy stuff, this kind of thing happens. My company has a hard time justifying invoices if people dont sign in or out, our booking system isnt tracked per say, but drops a gps stamp from pressing start job and closing the job. So thats semi proof if you dont sign in. Little things end you.

Some people can’t be helped. One of my techs at work has been slacking of so today I decided to turn up unannounced to see what he is doing. After 30 mins of watching him scroll through Facebook and YouTube I had to show face. The look on his head was priceless. Worst part was it was in a 2 hour ppm that they have to do. Who knows how long he would have wasted if I didn’t show up |

I didn’t pay to be reamed. :P
Going to see if I can get a 50-100ml sample of the bulk carb cleaner from Sydney Solvents. $126 for 10 litres is potentially a big saving - if it works. |

I'm with dodo wireless bb and it sux. After 10-11pm it starts to free up, and around 7-8am slows down again. I can always tell when there is a hit on the bandwidth, usually on the hour when people fire up the computer to log on, and when the netflix is being viewed.
Lately it's been slow because you know why. |
