Is there anyone here who's had their second pfizer shot yet? Did you get side effects afterwards and were they pretty mild? I've heard your immune system basically mounts a full-scale war on the simulated attack and you might feel pretty off. I've got a lot planned next week and trying to figure out whether to reschedule a couple things, or if it's do-able enough to push through.

Did I just hear hundreds of OS students will be let in starting next month?
But.. we can't travel for pleasure under ANY circumstances and my OS family and friends that wish to visit can't under ANY circumstances... Let the same government remind us that perhaps borders will open some time mid next year. While he is country hopping, attending 'meetings'.... What an effing joke... T3: I went back and reviewed the news articles. More meat has appeared on their bones during today. It was initially laid out quite “blind” - this unimpressed me.
There is another significant change occurring at midnight affecting NSW. Beyond that point, unless a new edict advises differently, people entering New South Wales from Victoria no longer have to isolate fourteen days. I guess this is a bit late for @Polyal. :-/ The NSW state COVID information portal remains reasonably “user friendly” - which is good. leesa: Looks like you’re the crash test pilot. |

Just checked. Sydney had 22 international arrivals today. Half were from NZ. Didn't think it was that high to be honest.

But it's not about the money, it's about keeping everyone safe As I alluded to previously - 11 international flights arrived in Sydney from non bubble destinations. Who is on those flights? Under what reason? Even if only half full that's well over 1500 people just today. Just in Sydney.

Probably has a longer incubation period. 14 day quarantine failure would be exposed as a huge mistake in that case. Where did the 14 days come from anyhow?

And to review my prior questioning of the semantics in “lockdown” vs “restrictions”… I think one significant twist in the permissions is probably the removal of explicit reasons people may leave their dwelling, and time restrictions thereupon. |

“Invasion of privacy, Our civil liberties are threatened” We screamed! Now what?… A flock of mindless (mask wearing) nutted sheep, obediently obeying? Posted above by FairmontGS is, I’m convinced, just the tip of the iceberg on where this crap is taking us! The CONTROL over populations by the “powers that be”, (Now so easily possible AND enforceable) is absolutely staggering…. And WILL be the new norm!

Data valid as at 00:00 GMT June 10th, 2021.
Note: As not all Australian States report at the same time, the data below is based on the previous full day reporting. 15 new cases for Australia and no deaths so the CMR is 3.011%. 1 case and no deaths for NZ so CMR is 0.964% and active cases 24. The UK had a lower 7,232 cases yesterday and 7 deaths. 10,397 new cases in the USA yesterday and 437 deaths sees CMR at 1.791%. Other notable points: Asia passes 53M cases; Namibia (1,045); Uganda (1,438); Mongolia (1,460); Zambia (2,146) - the previous high on Jan 16th; and Bolivia (3,839) ... recorded new daily highs; those in blue for the second consecutive day and those in red for a third or more consecutive day. Indonesia and Ecuador move above the 90th percentile for their 10 day average and none drop below.

Anyone in Melb wanting to get a Pfizer booking, today is a good day to call. My original appointment was not for another month, but I called this morning and was able to make another appointment earlier. There are slots available as early as Sunday. But since work allows us to take time out for jabs, I decided on Tuesday . Sanddown as opposed to MCC was a bonus.

So you're jealous because you're not one of them?

Why would I be jealous as I have no intention of air travel for my recreational activities in the near future; be a bit hard to fit my caravan on board a flight.

Geez, you edited that quickly. Pity though. You really need to work on those insults, perhaps even get a grown up to help you with them.
