Vic overtakes the GSS with most vaccinations
Interesting to note we hit 4m total at end of May. It looks like we might hit 6m by mid month. Vic outbreak driving the rate up as well as the AZ boosters coming up. |

I won't get the vaccine, but I've told people I did.

I'm not getting the jab, but I couldn't give a stuff what others think and will gladly say that I won't be getting it. I don't wear a face nappy either. And just as a final trigger for the sheep, I travel everywhere.

It's a free country. It's not my concern what others choose to do. I have no issue getting it myself.

In the animal game of covid vaccination you are a Sheep or a Leming, no other options. But I defend the right that you are free to choose whichever you are.

Data valid as at 00:00 GMT June 11th, 2021.
Note: As not all Australian States report at the same time, the data below is based on the previous full day reporting. 3 new cases for Australia and no deaths so the CMR is 3.010%. 5 cases and no deaths for NZ so CMR is 0.962% and active cases 29. The UK had a higher 7,958 cases yesterday and 17 deaths. 29,395 new cases in the USA yesterday and 819 deaths sees CMR at 1.791%. Other notable points: Global cases pass 176M, the last 1M taking 2 days; Namibia (1,432); Uganda (1,566); and Mongolia (1,622) ... recorded new daily highs; those in blue for the second consecutive day and those in red for a third or more consecutive day. Zimbabwe moves above the 90th percentile for their 10 day average and no countries drop below.

I wonder who will enforce this, airports or airlines. Or if the govt will make new laws to make it a border security thing and compulsory.

Foreign powers like the UK and Singapore have indicated that you will not be admitted through the border without proof of vaccination status. Qantas have stated numerous times that no-jab, no-fly. They would have to fly you home if rejected at the destination port. It's coming. |

It will just be like other check in items when you depart a country. They wont check you in if they dont check your passport, they wont check you in if you dont have an approved full vaccination.
Domestic travel it will only come in and be checked when there are arrivals from hotspots. Land based travel will be another matter, pretty sure you will include a number of some sort on your border passes.

So tell me wise one. What is the point of the vaccine if it won’t stop me getting it. Obviously if I can get it with the vaccine what is the benefit of having the jab.

Don't some countries already mandate certain vaccines before you can enter? Like yellow fever, polio and malaria?

Some countries also make you take certain health tests on arrival, like tuberculosis. I remember when I landed in the UK on a working holiday visa, they made me go get a test at the airport. In the room were all "coloured' people ....but once they saw that I was from Australia, they just waved me through without doing the test

Did they need testing prior to boarding? Edit - yes they did get tested prior, and returned negative results one would assume? Makes you wonder how many false negatives there are floating around? Ok - no pun intended regarding cruises There have been many cases of false positives....

https://www.gov.uk/uk-border-control cut and paste... Entering the UK "Overview If you’re travelling to England, what you need to do depends on where you have been in the 10 days before you arrive. If you have been in a country or territory on the: green list - you must take a coronavirus (COVID-19) test on or before day 2 amber list - you must quarantine in the place you’re staying and take 2 COVID-19 tests red list - you must quarantine in a hotel and take 2 COVID-19 tests You cannot currently enter the UK if you’ve been in or through a country on the red list unless you’re British, Irish or you have the right to live in the UK. Before you leave for the UK You’ll need to: provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken in the 3 days before you leave for the UK complete a passenger locator form end cut and paste. So its a neg test for now... and ironically Australia is on their green list, although of course we cant fly out without an exemption. But those who get an exemption just need one neg test over there. |

The more countries that relax restrictions and allow regimented travel the sooner our borders will open.
The UK entry conditions are surprising, I thought proof of vaccination was a given? Does NZ allow other countries to visit other than Australia? I assume not? If the bubble with SG opens soon (and I pray it does) then what other countries will be able to visit there other than us? I'm wondering, does SG currently allow visitors from abroad? I think we are in a catch 22 situation. No real motivation to be vaccinated because we can't travel. We can't travel because not enough are vaccinated. Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk

Last I looked NZ isnt letting anyone in (other than us) , but their citizens can leave.
Ive seen no info suggesting the UK has made vaccines mandatory for travel in and out at present... the above is from a govt site, and this from the guardian ... What do you need certificates for in the UK? To enter the UK, certificates are needed to provide evidence of a negative Covid-19 test. The test result must be in either English, French or Spanish. Depending on the country of origin, up to two more tests could be required, both of which would need a certificate to prove a negative result. What about vaccination? The government has suggested it will incorporate a vaccination status into the existing NHS Covid app. However, there are currently no requirements to prove vaccination status when entering the UK.
