UK pricing announced on 3 door only ST

http://carscoop.blogspot.com.au/2013...95-in.html?m=1

16,995K. Add another 1K for the ST2 trim pack.

Can anyone venture an educated guesstimate on what that would translate to landed in Oz??

List price on the metal is 15,500. That should give an accurate idea but I'd expect Ford AU to up the profit if they think there's not much competition in that segment.

My guess is they'll under-cut the Polo GTI (and they should as it's manual vs usually $2k-ish auto option), so let's say $25,990 before on-roads.

I would say about $26k here, any more and they won't be competitive

Hopefully the news hounds will report if they are Thai or Naz......eer....German manufacture.
A sneak pic or two would be nice as well.
Quoting myself from the 18th January because I was right...for a change.

Though I'm still as confused as ever. The story linked in the above post is American. But earlier stories stated America would get the Mexican built 5 door only version. The pic on the production line is clearly 3 door.

The production line in the story is in Germany, hence 3-door models for the European market (mostly).

It was this line that caught me though;

That was just a broad statement about the Fez ST making it's way to the US (irrespective of how many doors it will have)

Looks like we will go with the 3 door ST after all. it'll just be a little extra pain in the ***. How long till they land in Australia and dose anyone have pictures of the different level trim. Also does the trims colour match the paint or is it always red?

Hope we are getting nicer wheels than those.
Hit with the ugly stick.

And I take it you can have any color you want as long as its red?

It wont only come in red, every model has a hero colour. Red will be the Fiesta ST's.
Agreed on the wheels, not a fan but thats easily changed.
Hopefully we get full ST2 spec.

Wont complain about the wheels if they are as strong as the last ST's. I did prefer the wheels on the early prototype and you can by them off the shelf.

So far the ST has had black inserts in the headlights in all the pics I've seen. Now in these pics from Spain I'm seeing chrome inserts...are we in store for a Focus ST style furore over the headlights?

Undecided over whether I love or hate the looks. Do NOT like the Vision Fiesta in the background of the 3rd though- cant put my finger on it exactly, something is just not right about them! Looks like a toddler grabbed the WS/WT clay model and stretched everything on it a bit too far.

I love my Focus, but something inside me tells me to sell and go back to a small car! Great looking beast. The interior especially, by removing the old-school audio controls, looks much more modern and sleek.

Miss my Fiesta!

The first Zetec that made the mrs want one was white.
And finally, the ST in something other than red. Nice.

That's as good as being sold as my car! Love it in white. Looks the best from what I've seen, especially with darkest (legal) tint.

Any estimated release date for Australia yet? Are the dealers taking orders?

What a question!
A dealer will take a deposit from you.
You may have to explain to them what you are putting your hard earned down on, but I'm sure they'll take your money now to reserve a car.
Seriously, maybe not a bad idea to get in now and specify the color you want.
