I saw a clip on the Kerrianne Show this morning, they did a review.
Showed all the new toys the new generation of fans will want to buy... ect.

Shows the kid captured by the Feds and they ask him if he knows anything about aliens, before he really gives them an answer the car is attacked and the roof ripped off and Prime is there to save him...
He then gives them an answer. "This is my good friend... Optimus Prime"

Default Do not read this post, if you haven't seen it, it may contain spoilers.

9.30am, first session, first screening.

Awesome film, as a Transformers fan in the 80's I had high expectations and it lived up to most of them:

What I liked: *Spoiler alert, hightlight the text to read*

Autobots and Decepticons fighting, actually fighting, not like the cartoon.
Explosions.
Not much by way of plot (as in, there was an explaination at the start in why they are here and that's all you really needed to know.)
The humans joining in on the fight, and not being bystanders.
The FX.
Prime's voice being Peter Cullen. (The cartoon prime).

What I didn't like but can get over:

Most of the Decepticons are cars or I should say vehicle.
Only Starscream is a plane. (Megatron is some sort of spaceship.)
Devestator a tank??
Prime has lips. A bit cheesy, but then again, they all have them.
Starscream does not want to take over Megatron's job. He is a pleb, whereas Megatron treats Starscream like he has always treated Starscream.
There's going to be sequels and I'm afraid of sequels.

Gotta see it again.

I have no interest in this film. I am a fan of 1980s cartoons, not 1990s-2000s remakes, ruining classics. I saw it with Gadget, saw it with Ghostbusters and saw it with TMNT. Get stuffed if I am going to pay to see another remake that beyond the initial hype, is a film where beyond the special effects, is ordinary, much like T3.

I have the Power!

This movie is another person's interpretation of the Cartoon/Comics.

Prime's still Peter Cullen, so there is a voice from the toon you will know (why he didn't do Ironhide is beyond me).

Besides, the basic plot of the movie is the same basic plot of the cartoon. Get Energon.

I'm just letting you know as a 32 year old Transformers fan. (I still have my 32 original Gen 1 toys.) This movie is not a cruddy remake like T3.

You know you want to see it.

Saw the movie today.
It's awesome.
Length of movie is 2 hr and 10 min.
You won't feel it's that long because of the fast pace.

OMG that was the best movie I have ever seen. Simply awesome!!!

The CGI was second to none. I loved and Im gonna see it again!!!

Dont just sit here reading this thread, its a must see.

I rate this on par if not better than the matrix when it first came out.

It had a good combination of humour mixed in with action and it led right up to the climactic battle. Will certainly be buying my copy when it gets released on dvd.

sensational!

We were a little too close so the herky jerky 'in the action' camera work got a little tedious as did the hundreds of product placements (I wonder many there would be if i counted em all)... i won't need any dairy for a few weeks (so much cheese provided).. Finally, the female lead was H-O-T, more of that i say. ;)

All things said, it was Transformers and was cool... i'd definately have enjoyed it more if we weren't so darn close!

Absolutely awesome, best movie i've seen in ages.

My rating 1,000/10.

Only slight problem is that the Transformer could have been a bit plainer to reflect the origanil series a bit more.

I'll be seeing it again very shortly.

mate I found that there was hardly any kids there, it was all people from their teens to their mid 30's who were watching it. This movie brings out the kids in all of us. You wont regret it. A top movie. Im still buzzing about it.
