A mate of mine with a VX commo. "Man, i want my car to sound like yours" lol

A family friend of ours is getting married and she asked if i would be keen to use my car in her wedding. So hopefully by the time that kicks around my car will be close to where i want it to be.

Random people i talk to comment on how they envy me for having a nice first car. Holden ppl love giving me the bung eye, from way behind me lol.

Whenever i take the car in for a service, the mechanics constantly rave about how impressed they are with the condition of my car. I supposed there are alot of run down EA to ED models out there, its kindov sad to see though.

First and foremost...

The XA, B and C's have are gorgeous and have a fantastic shape and stance when done right, I love seeing a hot A, B or C (apart from the C's square headlights).

A young fellow at a local bottle'O one night said he loved the sound of my zorst saying "sounds tough". I had a giggle to myself when I told him it takes more than a 'zorst' to make that sound... ;)

I somtimes get people commenting about how low my car is when i put my "special" springs in, otherwise it's just people saying how they like my number plates!

Also, I have blue checkerplate floor mats, which combined with the standard underdash globes really light up at night. One person saw them and said "Wow - you even have neons!" Not quite! But generally people ignore the car because it's pretty stock!
Since then, when I had the car at the mechanics to get the headgasket done, the mechanics were telling me how my car is mint. They were really impressed with the condition of it. And late last year, my sister was buying a car from the same car dealership mine came from (my parents bought it from there 4 and a half years ago. I bought it off my parents 3 years ago). I went to check out the car, and when I was there I started talking to the boss of the dealership, about the EA. The boss was impressed that it still looked the same as it left the dealership, despite the extra 4 years. He was saying that most of their cars don't get looked after too well, but mine obviously had. It's always been a great condition car. The interior is immaculate.

Never really get many comments, other than the ones about my exhaust... I get people telling me "Is that a V8" or "My V8 doesn't sound that good, what exhaust have you got" at which point I say no, it's a 6. The apprentices at work love the sound of it at idle, but that's about it.

THats what the steering lock under the seat is good for... But then again all commy drivers are all the same big head F wits...

I had a commy driver cut me off in a car park and the hide to hang out his window and have a go at me... So I flicked my ciggeret butt through his window(drivers side) he hoped out once he noticed what that burning smell was buy that time I was around the corner...

Sorry for being a tempermental driver but I hate commodor drivers!!!!!!!!!!!!! This gives me a good Idea for a thread...

I used to get alot of comments about my Ex Cab that I owned, even picked up the odd passenger or two (no joke).

The EA always got someone trying to race me, and the odd word here and there but the BA I have now has got some good praise, even from Commodore drivers, so there's a bit of positive car culture in all teams

Yeah I've got the "nice for a ford" comment before.
Most comments came from chicks, which of course is always good.

Oh and just rememberd this one

Drove down to my local shopping strip to pick up some food. At this time i had my front bumper off with my cooler hanging out fully sick stylz. Anyways i go to park infront of th ATM and there was a kid with his mum pullin cash out. The kid starts staring at the car and then starts pulling on his mum's dress, pointing at my car going "mum, mum, it's fast and the furious!"

Didn;t know whether to take that as a compliment or an insult :P

Kid: "Nice car man"
Me: "Thanks"
Kid: "Does it do burnouts?"
Me: "Yes"
Kid: "Can you do one here?, cmon no-one cares"

lol funniest kid ever.

Ls1: "whats that just a stock 8?"
Friend: "it's a 347 stroker"
Ls1: "Oh yeah whatever"
Friend: "Luke, start your car"
****starts car****
Ls1 face drops.............

It's like mastercard ad

the only good comment i've had about my car was today when a pin head at work (new apprentice) was talking up his 180sx and telling us how good he is at drifting. the only thing is everyone at work is old school muscle and i joined in telling him it was a piece of *****. then he started taking the pi$$ out of my car (he has never seen it) and a guy there who helped me buying parts (11sec 350 chev in a 4 door monaro) told him that he will be very surprised if he was to race me. made me feel pretty good even though i no the 180sx will eat me! he then went on to challenge me in a race and said his car can 1st 2nd 3rd spin. old mate said WOW but $100 says pete (me) can get the EB around a track quicker then you. now thats what i call a complament!

other then that before it blew up it was always 'hows that peice of ***** ea goin pete'

Few months back there was a American Muscle Car show here at home. Parked my car a little way down the road to stop the usual 'Their car door hitting mine'. Anyway, got back to the XR8 after looking at the cars and a bloke and his wife who were at least 60 odd stoped and had a look at my pride and joy.

"We love the look of your car, well done and excellent job. We are Chev through and through, but your car looks realy good." they said.

I couldnt believe what they had said.

"By they way, we own the black Camaro sitting at the car show" he said.

For an old couple that owns a Chev, it made my day.

haha don't know if it is a compliment or not but I was in the macas drivethrough about 8months ago(in town 8:30 saturday night so it was packed to the s h i tt a) anyway there is a path that comes down a hill(pedestrian/bike path) and crosses the drivthrough so I stoped for these kids on there bikes comin through and one was too busy looking at my car and forgot to bunny hop up the gutter he ate dirt so bad... I hanged mi head out the window to try and see if he was ok. He was pretty beaten up.I told him to wait for me to get out of the drivethrough I brought him a meal deal thing and gave him a lift home considering his mates didn't stop for him and just ditched him...
