It depends on what kind of driving you enjoy. I'd prefer big HP v8 if there were no police, but since there is I acknowledge that I'd enjoy my driving more often if I was driving something like a RS fiesta or focus, where I could regularly use most of its power but stay within the speed limit.

Yeah right now anything other than the Red is fine by me. I just wish there was a chance to see them all in person before they go on sale. I don't want to miss out on the first allocation by my local dealers only because I waited to see what the other colours looked like.

If anyone hasn't been to their local dealer to look at the brochure, Ford.co.nz has PDFs freely available. No need to register interest to download one.

Or direct link (might work, might not :p)

Not sure which one to download? The portrait version is best for printing the single pages of the brochure. The landscape version is more suited to view on screen where the double page spread is viewed as one page.
It's just a different way of viewin git. (Despite the fact that Fez ST landscape brochure is actually portrait. Lazy IT guy.)

From the Mountune Facebook page
Quote:
Ford Offers Focus ST and Fiesta ST with Power-Boosting Mountune Upgrades

Ford announces official power-boosting Mountune upgrades for Focus ST and Fiesta ST
Mountune Focus ST delivers 275 PS –10 PS more than a Porsche Boxster for £15,000 less – races 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in less than 6 seconds
Mountune Fiesta ST delivers 215 PS and springs 0-100 km/h (0-62mph) in 6.7 seconds – outsprinting Mercedes-Benz SLK 200 AMG Sport
Official upgrades can be fitted in 90 minutes or less and are covered by Ford warranty; available in selected European markets from September costing from £1,225 for Focus and £599 for Fiesta – each model still costs less than standard rivals the Volkswagen Golf GTi, and the Peugeot 208 GTi and Renaultsport Clio 200
COLOGNE, Germany, July 16, 2013 – Ford’s critically acclaimed Focus ST and Fiesta ST hot hatches just got hotter with the introduction of official Mountune upgrades.

The packages are developed by race engine and road-car performance specialist Mountune, and boost output from the Focus ST’s 2.0-litre EcoBoost engine to 275 PS; 10 PS more than from a Porsche Boxster that, at £38,237, costs £15,000 more.

Even the Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500 would be left with a rear view of the Mountune-upgraded Focus ST, which can sprint from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in less than 6 seconds – more than half second faster than the standard Focus ST.

Ford is also offering an official Mountune upgrade for the Fiesta ST, which will increase the maximum power available to 215 PS*, enabling acceleration of 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 6.7 seconds, compared with 6.9 seconds on the factory model – faster than a £35,865 Mercedes-Benz SLK 200 AMG Sport 7G-Tronic Plus.

The Mountune upgrades boost both Focus ST and Fiesta ST in-gear acceleration. Peak Focus ST torque boosted to 400 Nm improves 50-100 km/h (31-62 mph) acceleration in fourth gear by 0.8 seconds to 4.9 seconds; peak Fiesta ST torque boosted to 320 Nm* improves 50-100 km/h (31-62 mph) acceleration in fourth gear by 0.7 seconds to 5.7 seconds.

Any Mountune-appointed Ford dealer will be able to fit the upgrade quickly – less than 60 minutes for the Fiesta ST, and less than 90 minutes for the Focus ST. Both are fully compatible with the Ford warranty, meaning Mountune modified vehicles continue to be covered against mechanical failure for three years or 60,000 miles from the original date of purchase.

“Ford’s ST models already deliver blistering performance – for these Mountune upgrades we have squeezed out every last drop of fun and served it on a plate to the fans that are as passionate about performance as we are,” said Tyrone Johnson, Ford Team RS engineering manager.

The Focus ST Mountune upgrade is available in silver and in black and includes a cast alloy inlet duct, high-flow air filter element, larger alloy intercooler and unique calibration. The Fiesta ST version has a re-modelled air box base with secondary inlet duct, a high-flow filter element and unique calibration.

The Focus ST Mountune upgrade costs £1,225 for silver, £1,275 for black to still come in less than the standard Volkswagen Golf GTi. The Fiesta ST Mountune upgrade costs £599**, to sell for less than both the standard Peugeot 208 GTi and Renaultsport Clio 200 Turbo models.

“We worked hand-in-hand with Ford engineers to deliver what we believe is the best bang-for-buck value on the market,” said David Moore, marketing manager, Mountune.

The Fiesta ST and Focus ST Mountune upgrades will be available in the UK in July and August respectively and selected European markets from September.

If you're in Victoria then RRP should be drive away no more to pay.
Cannot advertise it differently here.

Dealer delivery is unavoidable? As I understand it's the costs behind the scenes before it lands in your hands?

$1500+ dealer delivery etc you might be walking away with enough to buy yourself a latter, but not that slice of banana bread as well.

It was always going to be $25-$30k, if you thought it was going to be any less go buy something else...and regret it.

Forget the GST, that is included in vehicle RRP. Based on your other figures it works out at $28,690 - pretty good value in my book.

Cheers guys. Just wanted to know the equivalent "drive away" price. Obviously insurance will be on top of that. But sits nicely within my budget.

Cheers,
Duke

Seriously?
So you cannot rort the tax system because you have to justify your vehicles connection to business by filing out a 12 week log book once in a five year period?
Stunning.
