The BFIII wagon is holding its own. Very large and practical vehicle. Sure it does not have IRS or a sports version like the Commodore but in Fords eyes and more importantly the consumer, that is not the point of a wagon. It is the ability to carry a load securely otherwise people would by a ute.
Even the Mondeo wagon has more boot space versus a Commodore wagon. Mondeo has a luggage capacity of 1005 litres with the rear passangers seats upright and 2163 litres with the seats folded flat. Commodore has 895 / 2000 litres respectively. BFIII Falcon 1260 / 2584 litres respectively. That extra boot space is a very large (pun intended) selling point for Ford. Plus they do not need to advertise the wagon as everyone knows its capabilities saving Ford money.
