Price advantage also helps

So what colour would she like?

I would go for velvet with cashmere ;)

Yeh she wants the dark interior (dissapointing i know) so that makes it hard as theres not many cars built with the dark interior!!

So it looks like it will be EGO (september build). Going to get the aftermarket Garmin satnav fitted to (the integrated version).. Otherwise it will be stock!

Amazing. All it took was bum-in-seat and all perceptions were thrown out the window.

It isnt, but then again their expectations of the smaller cars may have been a little high..

C300 is the winner, but cant get one for months it seems and still dont know about trade in...

Congratulations Ford, you managed to sell a car to someone who really didn't want one of your vehicles, but once they had driven the car, they were sold.

And the fact that she chose it over more expensive euro competitors makes my chest puff out even more........ May she enjoy many years of trouble free motoring.

Congrats, they're a very nice car. I was hoping this would be the case as I know you could be reliable in commenting on how well the FG fairs compared to it, especially once it's racked up some kays.

I realise you have made the choice, but why was it not worth testing one of these?

Not enough HP? Or had to be a sedan?

See I can buy a C200 Avantgarde fully option for 72,000 or about $101,000 for a C300 with same options, just different gearbox / motor..

$29,000 for a V6 and an extra 2 gears.. hmmmmmmmmm Any comments on this?

Welcome to Mercedes!
We bought a SLK230 a few years ago and it started out at 72K base price but when you optioned it up with luxuries like wheels, seats and a stereo we drove out at 92K!!!

Shop at Mercedes or BMW and you'll appreciate the value for money Ford offer. The option list costs with the top Euro's can easily add 40% to the base price of the car.
Im not saying Ford are in the same class, but they represent good value for money sometimes.

big difference huh?
depends on it use and who would be driving it mainly
If it was to be mine, I would spend the extra :
however, as its my wifes car, she was very happy with the C200

I dont even mind driving it, and dont feel its a slug , and this is from someone thats daily driver is 310kw FG F6
Economy is great, we did a return trip to hobart a couple of weeks ago, 3 adults on board, approx 440km, returned a figure of 7.7l/ 100km, that was pretty good, the F6 doing the same trip would return 11.9

Got to agree with you there, Ford, and the value for money you get is outstanding, as is the overall vehicle, maybe finish isnt quite to the class of the euros, but its getting closer every model
