i have a xb falcon coupe. that is what it is, however, I have no badges on it at all, only because I'm not a fan of badges.
no chrome strips, etc. If asked I say it is a xb coupe...
I get asked all sorts of things about it, but the funniest is always "what is it?"
I once had some canadian want to fight me because I said it wasn't a pontiac.

Its love that goes in to a car build. The beers, tears and effort alone that i like and admire in any build.

nrfg even about what make or badge it wears

Aside from that it was a light hearted dig...everyone has an opinion and their own way of arriving at it. Happy days.

I reckon replicas are great, I hate vinyl roofs, bench seats and column autos, brown trim, brown paint.

Some replica owners might get offended by what Dazz posted, as that may be all they can afford but still love their car and get the same joy driving it whether it's a 40K rep or a 140K GT or a 340K GTHO. Some guys who own brown Falcon 500 might get upset by my opinion too.
You take that back Stefan!!! Column auto is the pinnacle of automotive achievement, a testament to the brave souls who always wondered where to place their left foot (in OZ) on a long and arduous journey and came up with a plan...

Three speed column manual V8’s with straight through exhausts were where it was at as far as I was concerned.

When you grabbed second gear you could hammer it and hold that exhaust note for an eternity.

HAHA I did BS a tiny bit, my first XY was a Brown, Brown trim, vinyl roof, column auto 6cyl Fairmont, loved that car.....the column auto comes in handy in your 20s with the opposite sex.

Funniest thing was being asked if it was a GTHO, which happened on more than a few occasions especially since it was a dead stock Fairmont, nothing GT about it at all.

Why is it with some members here, that as soon as you have an opinion contrary to theirs you're immediately branded as "cranky," or "crazy," etc?
If they can't tolerate opinions different to their own, then I guess we know who's "cranky"
and perhaps they should stay out of public forums.

Ah, but that's just it, it isn't.
As I said, if you have a car built to replicate a GT, then you have a great car, enjoy it. I would love to have such a car, and if asked I would respond "does it say GT anywhere?" (because mine wouldn't.)

As for all those saying "oh I don't care what anyone thinks", "it doesn't matter cos most people wouldn't know", etc, etc
Then I have to ask the obvious question:
WHO are you trying to fool with your fake GT badge?

But for all that, don't be offended by my opinion.
I see a lot of things that aren't my personal cup of tea. It's just one man's opinion, and who knows, I'm probably in the minority.

When someone says that they 'hate' something, or that it makes them angry, naturally the question will be asked. Which I did.
Or if the poster has the name 'Crazy', what can you expect?

I tolerate everything, and usually just laugh at it.

And miss laughing at the anger, no way...

Absolutely it is. It's my GT, and nothing you or anyone else says will change that.

I am.

Mine does, and what answer I give will depend on how much I feel like stirring the pot at the time.

No one, I made it because I like the GT styling, and other aspects of a GT.

Never am, but I do laugh a lot.
