Something tells me there isn't a single thing that is 100% Australian made and owned from 100% Australian ingredients in any servo except maybe Dairy Farmers milk?

OH NO! ^ from the dairy farmers website.

So still Japanese owned, here I am thinking that they are aussie. Oh well I think I'll be buying the glass bottled stuff from the fruit shop from now on..

Quote:
The Chinese dairy company Mengniu which earlier agreed to pay $1.5 billion to purchase organic baby formula maker Bellamy’s Australia has gone a step further in taking over the Lion Dairy and Drinks portfolio.

It means there are new owners for brands including Dairy Farmers, Pura, Dare, Farmers Union, Big M, Vitasoy, as well as Yoplait yoghurt and Daily Juice.

Lion, which has been on the market for more than 12 months, also owns a beer business that makes Little Creatures, James Squire and Tooheys. Owners approached the Mengniu Dairy ahead of the sale, they said in a statement Monday.
One rule for them, many for us. So much for a monopoly.

Agree, however it’s small(er) fry... 600mil? Compared to previous dealings that didn’t raise an eyebrow... Or a headline!

Quote at the end of that news...
“Last year the Federal Government approved the sale of Australian infant baby formula business Bellamy's for $1.5 billion to Mengniu.”

A good read here, although there seems to be a bit more of a tough stance, there is a lot of progress..

'How China is gobbling up millions of acres of land, vital infrastructure and companies - as part of its 'disturbing' plan to exert greater influence and control over Australia'

Seeing as China is the flavour of the month/year they conveniently forgot England, the USA and Canada.

And it seems that Canada doubled China's buying in 1027/2018

It is the reason I called the Thread 'Ambitious China' because although there is a lot of negative 'things' going on i.e. Sth China Sea claim, one has to admire the pace they are developing however they manage that.

Fair statement but remember the U.S are slimy too. CIA sticking their nose in a lot of countries, causing issues just to prop up their arms sales in some cases to both sides.
Supporting Saudis, they are basically ISIS with a country.

Interesting chart/video - 'The purchasing power parity (PPP) calculation tells you how much things would cost if all countries used the U.S. dollar' which I think removes the first thought about currency manipulation.
And they are only able to do it because of their economy (how they make their wealth)

https://thehill.com/opinion/finance/...erica-on-trade

China forecast to overtake U.S in the coming few years without the debt

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4-2nqd6-ZXg
I realise some projections and modelling but I feel the message is there

I have been watching such figures for years, Putin has been bagging the USA for years as to what the hell are they 'baby Bush and Obama' doing as they were running the USA into the ground, Putin was saying years ago that Nations are worried and thinking about abandon the USA as the key currency that we all use as it stands. so it will jump to China as the main currency we all go by at some point of time.

If USA goes bloke or China becomes number one, then the world will want to jump ship, but maybe the USA will not let such happen, as history shows that the UK attacked the USA when it seen it was going to loose the top dog position and the UK attacked Germany when they could see that Socialist Germany was going to wipe the floor with them economy wise.
So when W C said 'WE' will fight them and 'WE' will never surrender, who was the WE ? by 'WE' he truly mean YOU ? England was roo ted in the end any road, so what will happen when the USA says no ! but it all comes down to the world banks mainly as to what they want to truly do. wars help their plight too as well and such as they are too big for any Nation to take on. we are all **** ants to the world banking powers, as it's all about exploiting Nations that their game, sadly the majority do not understand that a person or a Nation that owes money has become a Slave to the lender.

Look to Australia or the USA they live beyond there means, we are selling ourselves out like a whore. but we have everything one needs to be that wealthy, that our Nations should not be lending money off anyone at all by now.
Look at what all you have and you can't even make a go of it, something is very wrong. if this was your child say given all this opportunity you would regard him as a derelict, what's he got himself into ay !

There always comes a time for change, sooner or later, even with the almighty US$ as its been King for transactions right around the world for a long time.
Something got to give, especially when a upcoming Nation like China is with all its global production supply growth.
I'm involved with Importing Export and will be interesting when/IF the time comes business needs to change from US$ to the RMB$.
This doesn't fuss me int he big picture BUT the sprouking by goose and quoting all the mud re the US not being trustworthy, I agree diplomatically especially regards to Middle East/CIA/FBI etcetc/Russia but from my POV I feel safer aligned with US than China in the Asia run future that is from my business experiences last 20+yrs.
There is a handful of long time Chinese business associates I feel to trust the rest of them ?, not a friggin chance, if were not on the ball we'd be ripped off BIG time every single week.
Whereas with the US companies, their problem is being so Nth American focussed and got to say very niave regards Export business/markets they have no idea how to rip you anywhere near what the Chinese have in their veins. Sometimes they are so OFF the ball its not funny.
I'm not 100% anti China - there is good and bad everywhere but they sure are hard to trust in the business world, whereas the CCP, wouldn't trust them 1 little iota.

No matter the crap laid onto Trump, good on him making a stand against them, long overdue.
Bush/Obama have been train business wrecks.
Good on the UK Gov making a stand against Huawei 5G, its time some countries stood up, reduced opening their hands for $$$$ in need due to their own incompetence and build unity amongst Nations working more together for the greater cause of global economies in the big picture.

Foreign investments by country... China = 9th
https://www.dfat.gov.au/trade/resour...%20the%20total.

Foreign investments by industry....

What we need to be watchful of here is the finance industry. For some of the reasons mentioned earlier. Personally I'm less worried about land, it is visible, and we can take it back in times of extreme conflict. But something like the finance sector, policies and strategies are much more difficult to identify. IMHO.

Not just the finance Industry but those who get nationlised and in time work their way up ladder in the Finance Industry but more so local Gov positions and getting voted in their populated suburban communities.
Once they start having more influence where things can be manipulated/navigated to favour CCP where do you think that would ends for us.

Chinas ambitions are much like Nazi German, it's going to go for it all out, in every way they can full on, look at it's military expanding like total morons and they think all of Asia is theirs, they even claim Australia is theirs.

All Communist believe in controlling the whole world, they are insane !

It's much the same as Nazi Germany, as they use investments to there ends and then when they don't need your investments they will just take what you put in over, it's as simple as that. so anyone who invest in China is a idiot as you can loose the lot at anytime the leader says so.

The Jew controlled banks invested in Nazi Germany as well and the Zionist Jews totally controlled Nazis leaderships they were best mates in fact. That's how they built up Germany from the depression. They created the depression, people warned about this before it happened as well. but it fell on deaf ears at the time and still the powers that be do not encourage anyone looking into such history, because if you did you may understand what we are being controlled by.
Hitler was just a puppet and so are all the Leaders in the world, to a power that's above them.
China has been a creation just as Nazi Germany was created, as a tool for they who truly control the world and it sticks out like dogs balls.
If China was not Communist all would be fine but because it is, it's like the mafia they only use people for their own ends and will rub you out like as if picking their nose. Socialism is a cancer only fools buy into that nonsense.

Oh dear.

The Zionist Jews controlled Nazi Germany ?

Ok, good luck.

Holly molly. So you are saying you can think like a nazi, act like a nazi, but as long as you are not a communist, then its ok?!?!? Wasn't it the communists who defeated the nazis?

Speaking of control of banks. What happened during the GFC? It was the biggest transfer of wealth in our time, was China behind it? Crickey!

Agree. Abe has been a very strong ally of the US. There are a lot of japanese citizens who have been protesting against foreign military bases on their soil, will be interesting to see if there is a shift in policy.
