While I am not a Port supporter, I reckon booing a team who are 90+ points down, when they get a goal, is poor form.

Oh well, has to be next year to get that cup out of Victoria! :P

Oh and who is going to win the Norm Smith? Chappy? G Ablett? Bartel?
I would say chapman will get it

Its hard to tell how good Geelong are after a poor performance from Port like that.
Not taking away from the win, they deserved it, just a pity we didnt get to see a good game.

Geelong is insane, people in the streets everywhere cheering and carrying on. Cars with flags hanging out and horns going off everywhere.
I'm not a footy man but its good to see so many people happy.

If you see a bloke about 5 foot 11 tall, a bit skinny, thick black, short, wavy hair who looks a little bit arab, wearing a Geelong short sleeved guernsey and who is very, very ****ed and extremely loud.... that will be Eamon...

lol @ port....now to prepare the geelong gear for a visit to adelaide airport 2mora morning....scumbags got what they deserved, they really didnt play all that bad geelong were just all over them from the word go - a team has to be actually in the game to loose it by poor form

Im by no means a Port supporter but please explain your logic...

I actually think Port played terribly, they made a lot of mistakes which were in uncontested situations and which were largely not due to pressure. I also think Geelong played particularly well so in my opinion it was a combination of both. Hence the massive margin.

I dont think Port were ever in the game from the start, and I think that because their poor skills continued throughout the entire game, it enabled Geelong to absolutely anihilate them with their excellent form.

What an awesome display of heart and pure skill. Geelong was well deserving of the win and they proved why. Port? Well lets just say, they will get a spray from the fans when they get back. Simply put.......embarrassing.

Well Done Cats and Bomber Thompson, you guys took the meaning of dominance to a new level. Love seeing port demoralised.

lol u summed it up better than me...they were never in a winning position to be able to loose from it.

my logic wasnt all that clear was it. my point was port wasnt able to make good or bad decisions on the ball simply because they rarely had the ball with offensive posession, their posession winners, the cornses, raked them all up in the defensive half etc etc when they were on offence geelong defence were all over them

well sadly GEELONG WON,

but what can i say for once they left their hand bags at home and got the win

ne one notice the coincidence with the score

Geelong 163 = Geelong won 1 final since 63 = 162
Port 44 = the amount of years it took Geelong to win one

hats off to geelong for the win. all credit must go there but to all those bagging port power (yes they were terrible), not one so called expert had them anywhere near the 8 at the start of the season and yet they finished 2nd on the ladder. they had a bad day but they are not a bad side. they can only improve as a lot of their youngsters get more involved and experienced.

one area they need to address is their consistency week in week out. that has always been a problem.
