When I read the "coupe less" I thought that some bastard had stolen the beast.
good to know your getting it back.
I would of flipped my lid if that had occured with my XA coupe ten years ago.

Looking forward to seeing it on the road and at some car shows too.

Note, stab with brick, its a brick, cant stab with it. Its just a post dude.

Besides, this is a coupe, its worth it, ..........almost.

Phil ,

Agony is followed by Ecstasy... (not the pill type)

It's agony and frustration at the moment , but when this is all sorted , (you know what Govt agencies are like : ) just imagine what it will be like "Cruising in the Coupe" and REALLY enjoying and appreciating it . :

Maybe one day you'll hear of this happening to someone else , thinking " Been there , Done that " (quietly smiling) .

Best of luck , mate , I'll still be following your "Saga" till the Coupe is tucked nicely in YOUR shed .

Phil, good to hear you made it thru Recency. Just got through there myself and the red tape and various approvals & disapprovals you get depending on who you speak with and when can be frustrating.

The fact is from Monday you would have made it and you'll feel different about your car from that point on. I wish you the best of luck.

Colville

just got home, with the coupe
longest part of the morning was waiting at the rego office to get a permit to drive it.
The thing is filthy, been sitting outside for the last 5 weeks, so its covered in dust, but they were good enough to cover the windows like I asked headed back to the ID inspection place from there, forgot how cool it is to cruise in lol..
they wouldn't let me rego it because it doesn't have heater hoses, and they don't like the pins in the bootlid (even tho I called the modifications people and they said they were ok). So they extended my permit to cover tomorrow so I can take it back with those two things sorted. They'll then clear it, and (on payday) I'll be off to the rego office

So tomorrow after work the simmons come off, and the fat convo's go on, and I can pull off the single 2.5" exhaust and start on the twin 3" (already got the mufflers) ;)

uploading a vid of part of the drive home, nothing interesting but its the first in car vid I have of the coupe.. uploading slow as so i'll post it later..

Its good to hear you finally got it back!

You got pegged for no heater hoses??? That doesn't seem right, I dont know about SA but in VIC that is not a problem!!!. They didnt pick it on mine (unless they didn't know what they were looking at!)

No heater hoses is a r/w item even in Vic. You have to be able to demist your windscreen. Can't do that without the heat from the core or hoses ;)
