Perhaps instead of Ford releasing a car that looks stock with 290kw engine and can do low 13's you do it yourself! The only reason the HSV's are able to do it now is they are lighter and it'll change in a month anyway
Im puzzled, im not trying to be smart here but id really like to know why you're dissapointed it hasn't got a power rise (if thats correct seeing it hasnt even been released yet!!!!) if you've got no intention of buying one? Especially if in say a couple of months after its actually released it is shown to be quicker and better than the BA?
In what way does the BFGT look stock?

We can all and moan about no power increases this and that, Ford obviously has a long term goal in mind and the BF was never meant to have substantial changes. It's that part of the model cycle. I'm sure when tested there will be a few things a lot better than the BA that will be highlighted
This post is about the most sensible ive read, why all the moaning for? the car hasn't been released yet.? Wait till you get a chance to drive one then tell us what you think.

And you are also the only person on this forum I have heard say the GTP seats are crap. Do you weigh over 100kg's as that is the only thing I can think of the would explain it. They are no different in wrap around shape to R8, STi, Evo etc.
I'm 6'2" (190cm) 112kg's. And I said the aggresive look suited the T3 more then it does the BA. The BA is a more classy type car then the AU was, the stripes, spoilers etc etc don't suit it. A black XR6 is probably the best looking BA there is (IMO).

And I hate the GT-P seats with a passion. If I'm buying a 1800kg luxury tourer type car, I want a comfortable seat to sit in.

If I wanted a track type car, which would require a seat that hugs you and holds you in position... I wouldn't consider an FPV... a Lotus would be more what I was after.

All this ing about one of the nicest cars I've ever been fortunate enough to own. I feel very, very lucky to be in the position to have one. Yep it's now the "old" "slow" 4 speed, but guess what? I still smile every time I press the button and think of all you guys waiting for the BZ model in 2016 when in the meantime I've used up all the petrol!

if there isnt a power increase i hope all you guys arent banking on the new auto to make it quicker. yes it will be quicker than the old auto but its only gonna bring it in line with the manual now.

What about the FPV BF GT-P? Motor don't have a picture of that yet. Next year the FPV range will have to compete against the Chrysler 300C SRT-8 with 317kw. Should be different to the usual HSV range and will push FPV to strive further.

Yes the VE HSV range will be out as well. Just another competitor next year is the Chrysler so it should be more interesting. I think the BF will hold up well against both cars.

Trash talker...

What's VE got to do with BF???? You're a full model cycle out..

Don't come on here sprouting that sort of crap, because you will soon feel very unwelcome.

Clearly that was a promotional shoot on a long lead. It didn't show the GT-P and the windows are so dark you can't even see if the sports pod is still being used. Point being there is still stuff to be released. I reckon that front bar actually has a plate recess and has been shopped but the rest of the stuff looks just like we have been talking about.

I am pleased the GT-P wheels live on because they are a wheel that does look good. The only doubt I have is that front lip on the bars. Not sure about that one.

The engine has had more work done to it than I would have imagined if Euro3 consideration but then again I don't know which aspect of euro3 needed attention.

I hope the FPVs get monotube shockies. I suspect the 6 pots will be exclusive to GT-P and not be an option on the other models.

But just look at the price of those two featured cars. That is damn impressive especially the GT. That package at the price and FPV are winners in my book

SRT-8 is a different market. 300C is Fairlane and Statesman size. There's only one Aussie competitor for the SRT-8... the HSV Grange. And it's on the money for power (297kW 530Nm), and performance (mid 13's), to compete with SRT-8 300C. Ford don't have a competitor in that market, unless you call the Fairlane G220/G8 a 'performance' LWB... it clearly isn't.

There are a number of Ford and FPV people watching these forums which in a way is very good. It also means that on occasion we need to be careful about what is said.
