Outbound Express Post: Lodged 11/4, delivered UK 29/4
(Glad I didn’t pay for the Standard service!) DHL Express UK-Oz: Posted 5/5, delivered 10/5 DHL Express Argentina-Oz: Posted 20/4, delivered 1/5 (Seemed to be some loss of plot in the US hubs; it sat quite a bit and moved between unusual points for a number of days.) |

I send or receive parcels on a daily basis, as a example, on the 15th Aug I sent 2 large parcels off, 1 to Queensland standard post, it took 11 days, then on the same day I sent 1 to Scotland standard post, it took 4 days.
The UK system seems to be a lot faster than our Aus post system, a few years ago I sent some items in the largest box they allow home to Aus from Bath in the UK, the tracking showed it was in Western Australia 2 days after I posted it, but my son didnt receive it until 14 days later I often order parts from China on a Friday night and have them delivered on the Monday morning with DHL Express, but have had a few go via Mars or somewhere and take up to a week. I would say Australia post is most of our problem here as it can go through quite quick or it can just sit in a depot for a week before it moves. |

International parcel post ex-EU/UK seems to have lifted its game the last month or so.
UK: Postmarked 30th December, received 11th January EU: Postmarked 3rd January, received 16th January (Riga, which has typically been a “slow” source in my experience. Plus another from same city, different vendor, one day later in posting but same date delivery.) |

i posted a ute seat with handbrake [attached] to WA last december ..... about a month or two later it was then 'lost' either in Welshpool or after leaving there. after another month or two .. it was recieved back here i was given a few excuses about what happened but recieved a one off payment for the 'lost' seat & cost of posting it. this time i sent it on the 6th of this month ..... the guy finally recieved it on the 24th .. of this month
the differance between sending the item ........... 1st time was 'normal' insurance [$100] & nothing else, this time was double insurance & to be signed for. think next time i send anything similar . . . . . . . signature required.... |

Deutsche Post “Paket” - twelve calendar days in transit.
Air mail from Frankfurt consolidation seems to arrive in Melbourne and then get distributed around Australia. |

Are there impacts on LCL sea freight ex-Europe to east coast Australia as a result of the Yemen skirmishes?
Considering some crated used/new parts out of Europe, no way a FCL. |

There's been commercial ships hit with anti-ship ballistic missiles and drone attacks, while the US/UK have been staging attacks on Yemen, you'd have to have rocks in your head if you were a sea freight operator and decide to transit right through a war zone where one side is specifically targeting you |

Oz Post seem to have dropped the ball lately, a small Deutsche Post packet left Germany on Sunday 23rd to Australia via HK and is still not delivered. German tracking for even the most basic letters, seems excellent.

Fifteen calendar days ex Poland to Sydney, regular small parcel with minimal tracking.
A number of my recent European purchases seem to be getting fulfilled in Poland, irrespective of which country the business purports to hail from. |
