Finally got round to giving the old girl a birthday...Vacuumed the interior then gave the ute a wash followed by a quick polish. Came up pretty nice.
Also put my new Ford Bougicord leads on this morning too. The Hurricane leads were only 7.0mm thick and were buggered where they plug into the coil pack. Now with the new leads there is no more miss and it idles real nice.

Got the territory back from smash epairs yesterday - RH side is all smooth soft and shiny. So we dropped the 22s and tyres off to the tyre place this morning, and got tyres fitted and wheel alignment - so now we have the 22s back on the Territory.

Then put the 15s back on the ED XR8, and am looking to sell the 19s from the ED and the territory.

So that means 17s are also back on the 380 (that was earlier in the week).

Young bloke is in the US for a holiday and I've been meaning to fix his floppy gear stick in his 626 ( no smart alec comments now please).
Ordered some new bushes from Mazda, what a piece of cake, up on the car ramps, underneath with a 12 mil ringy and socket, 45 mins later, job done, gear stick nice and firm ( I said, no funny comments).

Fitted 33mm adjustable sway bar to the ute. Went to the second hardest setting, blimey it steers well now not to mention sitting flatter. Had to change to sway bar ball joints as mine were stuffed, sounded like they were falling off on every bump in the road. Thought may as well change the whole bar while I'm under there. Glad I did. Oh and took 2 trips to supercheap to get the correct deep socket size, grrrrr.

How much are they in your neck of the woods?
2012 Laramie crews are going for about $50k, the 2013 I drove had the sticker price of about $58k, but discounted to $55k. The 3500 will have an Aisin tranny, stronger frame, and more power and torque! 287 kw/1150 Nm. Not too bad for stock specs

Admired it, drove it to shops, put back in garage, admired it some more, closed the garage. Enough excitement for one day.

This morning i gave it an auto service, and its off now getting wheel aligned.
The fresh injectors actually made it not quite as boring.
Here's hoping for an economy increase.

1 month service, got som floor mats while I was at it. Was going to get boot protector too, but it was over- $300.

This weekend, heading to Clark Rubber to get one cut to size for $50. Even they guy at the service desk agreed the price for the genuine one was crazy...

Just gave the thing another coil too. Seems the injectors triggered something.

Seems fine now though.

Put rear speakers in my AU V8 ute today. There was no factory wiring for them so I wired them up to the speaker wiring for the front speakers at the plug behind the stereo. Work well and the speaker wiring is hidden under the carpet...Very happy with it.

Purchased a Fleabay exhaust for the BF, was meant to be a direct fit up to the centre muffler for the rear muffler delete.

And yes, I only did it for some more noise.

Put the car up on the plant ramps and:

Of course it didn't fit, the flange was the wrong size and the orientation was about 30 deg out.

1hr in a exhaust shop later and all is well but my wallet is lighter, it does sound good with nil drone.

Lesson learnt: don't buy anything of Fleabay that bolts to something which has angles and dimensions, it will end up being cheaper getting it done in a shop, you will not get angry and walk off swearing and you will not feel like a tool taking it to the exhaust shop and explaining to them that you got it as it was cheap, then explain to them your awesome cheap exhaust doesn't fit and could they please fix up without saying things like, this happens all the time and its not so cheap now is it........

Changed the exhaust on my Silva today. The new one came from a donor car and that one got my chaff cutter exhaust off Silva. Sounds SO much better.
One thing I have to say is, I DO wish that manufacturers would stop using slide into muffler tail pipes, they are a PITA. The install of the system that had a BOLT ON tail pipe took 30 mins less.
