I left after Sandowen Bunnings, and although i rarely make an appearance at cruises, I think this one was awesome Everyone was well behaved as far as i saw, was good catching up with people again at the meet points. I agree however, that maybe friday night traffic through the city wasn't the best idea, as we all got split up pretty bad, especially the right turn onto Johnston that was excruciatingly slow (like 4 cars per arrow), but getting lost was pretty fun too (Had a nice clear run down the boulevard :dr_Evil: ). Other than that, top marks to the guys that organised it, you do a great job :sm_headba

As I've been on a couple of cruises here and on MCCR, OzCruise, BeastClub e.t.c I always end up having a fun time, as we're all showing off our pride and joy afterall, and catching up with people we haven't seen in weeks e.t.c.

Some good ideas have been thrown around here but it's impossible to please everyone but the organisers do try their best.

I say high 5 to the people who make this happen in the first place!
It should always be a *friendly* environment.

possbily feb im thinkin of orginisin a drive, not a cruise but a drive, we had one suggestion in the other forums (CRUIZ IDEAS) about goin down mornington an go see a movie or something, if ppl like the idea of this then lets do it its free speach here, bring who you want, suggest where to go, anything you think that would be good idea/location for a cruise/drive/event

the ppl that orginise the cruises try there best, and pat on the back to them, i submit idea and places to park to adam and it gets put in the box

its trial an error here, we wont get it the first time, but we can keep tryin n tryin to we do...

i really want these cruises to keep goin here, but i was thinkin, mabye a solution is to have "e-series" cruises less often (this is just a suggestion) seeing as we expect there to be a cruise every month, we expect it to be the same, an to others i guess it becomes a lil dull, same old same old really, giving time, suggestions and help, we can make things better

Sheesh, that was a bit rough! I spent a full day driving around trying to find places that are big enough to hold 50+ cars for a Geelong cruise, and I tell you what - IT'S NOT EASY! Then, trying to map out a route in between thats going to not be boring, people aren't going to get lost, etc.. well, that's bloody hard too.

The organisers did a great job of that cruise, even though they missed a street on the map and named one wrong, it wasn't hard to pick up the phone (like I did, thanks john! haha) and find out wtf I was supposed to be going.

If you've felt that previous cruises have been disapointing, I really dont think that there is any need for you to attend another one again. The organisers and the members really dont need you stirring trouble within the club, there's no reason for it.

I must be a nerd because as soon as I get the map I study it to make sure I know where I'm going. The instructions are always clear and the routes are usually pretty direct. I don't understand how so many people get lost?

I'm the same, while traffic was backed up on power st i pulled out the melway and worked out exactly which way the cruise was goin, makes it a hell of a lot easier.

I think Krys got it in one there.

if you think you can do better, do it. I guess for some people its easier to hide behind a keyboard and have a whinge, than it is to come up with some constructive ideas.....

I had the directions and was cross referencing it with the melways, we still got lost. It was all good until the directions missed out certain streets or named them wrong...

Anyway, isn't it time this thread was closed?

yep time for closure.

i think the same things have been said several times.

so the consensus is, either be consructive, or don't bother posting.
that, and don't bother going if you don't like how its done.
