I believe that "period correct" applies to South Australia
In Vic, street rods that apply for club reg ( that are obviously modified) are more closely scrutinised

My car isn't highly modified but it aint period correct

Lots of cars like mine with maroon plates

Mine is insured with RACV, they have a vintage car insurance division. Previously the same car had RACV full comp insurance.

And as other have said, the limits on mods are the same as per every other car with full rego in VIC.
