My list's pretty boring
My cars XA Coupe: Sounded great but the 302 was tired and gutless plus burnt bottles of oil and blew big smoke screens. It handled like a pig on soft lowered springs and 215 fronts and 265 rear retreads. It was an awsome looking car though. Ahh those were the days. XC sedan: Gutless LPG powered 4.1 auto. But I didn't give 2 hoots about it so it was actually enjoyable to drive (i.e. I drove the wheels of it and didnt care if it broke) EA sedan 3.9CPI 4spd auto: I actually loved this car. Very comfortable although once again pretty gutless. Was lowered and cornered like it was on rails, but unfortunately the rails were going straight ahead when you were actually trying to turn... XC GXL auto: healthy 302C actually pushed me back in the seat and gave me a buzz every time I floored it. Once again the XC isn't known for their handling especially on factory ride height springs. EF GLi V8 auto: Sounded good, was comfortable but ultimately nothing special to drive. After lowered springs, stiffer sway bars and new shocks it did actually handle like it was on rails. BA XT 5.4: Smooth torquey powerful engine but too heavy a car to really have fun with especially with the 4spd auto. I really need a manual!!! Others: Mum's '96 Magna 3.0L V6 auto: surprisingly spritely for a 3 litre but too much torque steer for my liking. Dad's auto XF S-pac: Gutless but great for visibility out all windows for judging parking etc. Brother's VS Ute: very quick off the line and easy to light up the rears with too much throttle, and it was just an auto 3.8. Probably would have been the most chuckable/fun car I have ever driven. What a bummer lol. Other brother's auto AU XR8: similar to my EF as a driving experience although I only went around the block. Same brother's 351 Landau: similar to my XA but with a bit more go and softer suspension. His 351 is pretty tired.

I could show you photos of a list of cars ive "driven"...ferraris, lambo's bentleys, and the doors are actually closed. with the vehicle in motion whilst im driving it to be inspected on a small private road or car park. but i wouldnt say ive actually driven these vehicles unless ive taken it on the road and had the chance to open it up. |

Got to go to a Merc/AMG drive day at Eastern Creek today. Pretty sweet. Got to drive brand new:
E280 Smart Car B200 Turbo C220K ML500 CLK220 I relinquished first drive of the CL500 to another guy coz I'd gone first a few times and then we couldn't use it any more so I didn't get a drive of that :( Needless to say, I'm looking forwards to dads next Merc purchase, regardless of what it is. The Smart car was hilarious but probably the most fun- heaps of get up n got for such a nothing of a car. ML500 was suprisingly quick for a 4WD. Otherwise: EB Falcon EL Falcon EL Fairmont 98 Toyota Hiace 01 BMW 318i manual VN Commodore (police pack with extractors and exhaust. Lowered at the front, pink paintwork....) VT Commodore 93 Skyline GTS-T Coupe 97 Mazda 323 Astina V6 (sisters car- great to drive) 04 Toyota Prado 06 Toyota RAV4 several 01 and 02 XR8 (including one today) and of course the 87 Jag Sovereign (XJ40) which, as said before, gets the stares straight away, especially with P plates. |

Driven squillions of cars being a m/mechanic,but most memorable would be a Chord from the mid '30s. Front wheel drive, side valve V8, semi auto, pop up headlights etc. Radical car for its day. Also drove a mid '30s Cadillac with the divider between driver and passengers.

VL group A,after only 500 k's the owner wanted the secondary throttle plate restriction removed and road tested , in its time it was a quantum leap for the Aus car market.

My old man over the years has worked for Finemores, Tolls, TNT and owned his own Car Carrying company for the last 7yrs so i've driven just about every common car.
Got to drive on of the first made SS 5.7L's and one of the first VZ Maloo 6.0L's - Tolls + Finemores And for his own company id say the first Typhoon in NT.

Driven a few different cars and types of cars, but the best has got to have been a 1968 RT Dodge Charger 440 6 pack, 4 speed. Was loud, handled badly, uncomfortable and I would assume bad on fuel. But still brings a smile to the face. Would love to have one in the shed (would go for an auto though as easier to drive Left hand drive).

Too many to mention, having been a mechanic for 22 years.
Alltime favourite would have to be the 'VB Challenge' AU XR8 that Johnson drove in the pre race activities at the Clipsal 500 in 1999 (may have been 2000!). If you remember these cars you can imagine the fun I had on the suburban streets! Full touring car body kit and signage, straight thru side exit exhaust and a supercharged 351w under the bonnet. Viagra on wheels ..................... |

Also too many but here's some of the standouts (not always for good reasons)
ED Wagon (Current) - Good to be back in a Falcon '85 BMW 323i Cabrio - Very nice but had to go when I lost my job '89 Peugeot 405 Mi16 - Nothing handles like these. Bit underpowered '89 Celica ST162ST - Nice car. Not as powerful as the SX but nicely balanced. '86 Toyota Crown Super Saloon - Beautiful car to drive. Guzzles fuel '90 Honda Integra - Fabulous car. Goes like stink. Lotsa fun. '90 Honda Prelude - 4 wheel steering is a hoot. One of my all time favourites. Miss it. ED Futura Classic - Beautiful drive. Nicer than my sister's AU. XD Wagon - 4 speed manual - Good fun - Very nice for its age. VS Commodore Acclaim - OK but not a patch on a Falcon. |

HQ Statesman 308 V8 brand new 1972...plenty of grunt for a Holden, nearly killed us all, he never let me even get in the front seat again...a former older freind owned the car.
HT Brougham 307 Chev Auto...second hand, did not go as well as the Statesman was looking at her in a car yard back in late 70s HQ 253 V8 Panel van brand new back in 1974, it was our Company work car I was a trainee carpet layer, I got use of the Van every second weekend if I paid for the Petrol. The Boss disallowed me using the car on weekends after I just stopped short of smashing into a pre fab class room of Adults sitting for their Matriculation back in those days ( I had already lost control and smashed through a fence just before) XY GS 302 V8 I was the second owner, paid 5 grand for her in 1985.... My Fathers XB GT in 1975 only short distances with him around home... Outside of that just the run of the mill cars...nothing really spectacular.... |

I've driven a heap of run of the mill cars, but out of all the them the most memorable was when I drove my dad's 5L VL Calais around Mt Panorama.

Many many average cars but the stand out would be the new Lexus IS-F that I drove on Friday.
Bloody nice bit of kit, the "stacked" exhaust tips look awesome too. Camry spec digital clock not so nice. EDIT: Actually I think I'll list them just so I remember 2001 AUII XR8 - Mine....when it's going. 1997 EL Falcon - Mine - Was a great car and had 465k on it when I sold it. I bought it with 123k. 1988 VL Wagon - Mine - 'twas a pile of unreliable rubbish. 2009 Lexus IS-F - work - DAMN!!!!!!!!!! 2009 Lexus IS250cc - work - Nice car, would happily have one for the mrs 2009 Lexus IS250 - work - Would look good alongside the above 2005 Hyundai Terracan - Parents - I don't care what anyone says, I liked it. 2008 Hyundai Getz - Parents - Better than the next in the list 2003 Hyundai Getz - Parents - Terrible 2001 Nissan XTrail - Parents - meh 2001 Suzuki Baleno - The better halfs - This is an awesome little car 2000 Nissan Pulsar - Parents - Not a bad little car 2001 Toyota Corrolla - Work car - Wouldn't ever buy one 2000 Daewoo Lanos - Work car - It was on gas........ 2000 Daewoo Lanos - Work car - The one above replaced this after I killed it, was also on gas..... 1994 VR Acclaim - Parents - Was ok for a Commodore, until it got to 230k and promptly died 1994 Mitsubishi Lancer - Mrs - Was a very nice little car although underpowered 1986 Mazda 626 - mrs - was a great car until the mrs killed it. Wouldn't mind one as a station hack 1982 JB Camira - Parents - What an awesome machine 1982 JB Camira - Parents - Yep they bought two, this one was replaced by the above when it was written off. They're slow learners. 1981 XD Falcon - Parents - 4.1, T Bar, mags, low front high rear....awesome! 1980 Toyota Corrolla - Mrs first car - She used to almost get it up on 2 wheels around roundabouts! 1972 Datsun 1200 - Mrs - Nothing to say, wasn't a real car.
