Can anyone verify a story that I got from one of the dealers we went to. We already had a copy of a brochure from another dealer in SA, but this dealer stated that they had to send all theirs back because of numerous mistakes. Has anyone else heard this?

I think quite a few of the mistakes have been published in this thread, the proofing of the brochure was pretty second rate by all reports.

But were all dealers made to send them back? Has anyone been able to get a brochure in the last couple of weeks?

I wouldn't be surprised if they all got sent back, I got a brouchure at the start of December it had so many mistakes in it that it wasn't funny

This is what Ford M&S are doing to the Falcon.

There is no Advertising budget for the product, and the Brochures are second rate and full of mistakes.

It really is a disgraceful way to farewell Falcon and a kick in the guts to all involved in designing, manufacturing, assembling, and selling the product.

Shameful, it really is .....

For those going through finance, who knows what the interest rate is? Stillwell Ford (like I'm assuming all Ford dealers?) use St. George Bank for finance deals, and on the St. George site, it's in the 11% range... But do they have different rates at the dealers?

If it's still the same range, I'm gonna get my finance through People's Choice CU, with their 6.99% rate

The other problem was when asking the sales rep about the FGX he was flicking through the brochure to get the answer that turn out to be wrong!!

Dealerships run independently, finance is through whomever the dealership is in conjunction with, but they should able to work on this for you. Finance is different from person to person and there is no set figure.

7% is a good rate , dont pay more. And if you are real savvy you can get it for 6.

Yeah not like the mustang gets a New Year's Eve party center stage in Sydney with a pop star lol

I reckon at least 3/4 of Australia don't even know there is a new model falcon out.

I often wonder why spend 100+ mill on a model update, slash the drive away prices making them excellent BFYB across the range. Than refuse to advertise them in any form so they won't sell. ???

Would have been good to see had the FGX got a VF style launch n production rate how it fared given the huge gap in development costs.

Sound buisness decisions should have been made 15 years ago... The FGX release hardly seems sound anyway..

Or are you referring to the part where they arnt advertising at all, effectively leaving a sizeable portion of sales to loyal fans.. The same loyal fans that lost their V8 S/C from 2016 which Ford kindly announced on the exact launch date for the FGX, citing the need for funding to promote import models.

Now that's a sound business decision, if your in the buisness of kicking loyal fans in the teeth!

SUV's are a growing market, good business sense to advertise for the market where you can win sales, falcon isn't trying to win sales anymore, they're not able to produce enough of them to supply if there was more demand

Yeah I understand that, but can't they at least advertise the FG X at least once? Everyone I speak to doesn't have any idea there is a new Falcon out.

Same mate almost no one I've spoken too has known an FGX exists and plenty that chased it up would of shook their heads at the lack of knowledge of the dealerships including the incorrect brochures they had, but didn't have enough to hand out lol

The Ford website still has the falcon as coming soon. Surely updating your website doesn't cost that much. Really ****** me off the way they are just letting the falcon fade out without at least letting the punters know its out there. Have ordered an XR8, but this will be the last ford i purchase. Alright maybe a Mustang down the track, but thats it!

There doing as much as they can for as little as possible, the car mags and reviews are there initial point, i am trying to sell the things and in our 4 dealerships have 6 new model falcons including ute, imagine if people did know about it, they'd be upset that we didn't have any to show them

I agree with the above, it's a joke that no one knows about the FGX..
I too have seen all the Territory ads on Foxtel and not one for the Falcon.
It's also a joke no one knows about the EcoBoost or the EcoLPI, I just asked 6 "car guys" at work hear and only one knew anything about them...
Ford you should be ashamed.

I'd like to know where the 'FG-X Falcon Fanatic' ad is?? I have only seen it once when Ford emailed me the link. Why bother to go through all the trouble and spend all the money on a great day and then not bother showing the ad anywhere. WTF FORD??

Big call mick, I can't see them beating the V8 in a straight line even with fats. Miami has a bit more grunt than the I6 from factory and IMO should outplay engine weight factor.

Definetly be close though. Auto should be good for a low 12 in the real world and a mid 13 if your a retarded magazine tester lol

I can..............if they do build it, and give it the R Spec suspension, depending on how they go about getting that 310kw figure, I wouldn't be surprised if we see Ford Aus first factory stock 11 sec car Halo car.
