Look for the Engine Builder's Name thread, very relevant.

Just put a deposit down on a Winter White XR8 manual due for delivery in October. Dealer printed off his allocation list and said you can pick from the 8 cars left out of the 10 he was allocated. Heartland Ford in Sydney still has 1 manual in Shadow and 6 autos with a Kinetic being one of the due in November if anyone is interested.
Sharda is the bloke I bought from, they're not budging on the RRP but they're able to give you the build number as you put your deposit down.
Might be a tad excited.

I haven't really seen anyone get one for less than RRP, except for the odd person who got a manual for under $57K. I paid RRP but got them to throw in a couple of goodies.

Just seen a fully disguised FGX in the city, quad exhaust and bonnet bulge but covered in thick black camo front and back.

What could it be ? The final hipo Turbo edition perhaps ?

Agree, although possible decoy ? Couldn't hear the engine note though !

Def caught my eye as the camo made it stand out more than no camo...

This! Nothing about it suggests it's anything else, if it was an HO engine option, there would be no need to cover it up.

Yes I think Ford were running around with camo-ed SZ Territory mules for a while after it was released.

Yes, I still see one near me occassionally, single exhaust each side but a V8, as per the USA export spec.

Nahh mate, that'd be the Ford marketing team at work, teasing the public and gaining attention for the new Falcon ya see ?
Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go out and shoot a pig. They're always flying past and landing on my TV aerial.

I don't read that as "an additional 2000" - rather the new total will be 2000.
Wonder where the additional engines are coming from...?

They built around 300 in the first couple of months, and have planned just over a thousand for the second allocation, this would leave the balance for 2016.
