to everyone who has received an FG X so far, is your bonnet slightly out of alignment on the right hand side when you stand in front of it? It's more noticeable on white ones but i've noticed that the right side seems slightly out of whack on every single one i've looked at

Now you've got a whole bunch of dudes scrupulously checking their cars tonight!

I just noticed it on one pic below....are you talking about the bit that is closest to the grille/above the RH headlight?

Not been on for a few days. Have been driving my new XR8.
Don't believe those who tell you they're good, they are lying.
Mine is bloody fantastic.

Silhouette manual with Ceramic Pro & dark shades pre-delivery.
All pales before the altar of that DD-assembled Miami however.
I scored a beauty. Worth the wait.

I just clicked over 3,000km, and it gets better with use! Phenomenal car, best car I could have bought.

Yep, I used Opti-Coat. $995 for exterior, interior and 3M tint.

Heard nothing but positive for Opti-Coat, and nothing but negativity for the dealer stuff.

I have only just racked 1,380 kms since picking up my car on Christmas Eve last year. Yer I know it's only minimal mileage but it's not my daily drive. However over the same same time period I have racked up about 7,000 kms in my ute which is my daily drive.

I totally agree with FGX335 view - it's the best car I have ever owned and I have owned a few to compare against. The power of this car is so damn addictive. Probably explains why I am only getting 17.3 litres to the 100 around town at the moment. Not that I am complaining because as I have stated to a lot of people (who were a little surprised when they learnt that I had traded my 3 year old Euro) I did not buy the car to save on petrol consumption. It was brought so that I could enjoy the dream - owning and driving an Aussie made V8 Ford Falcon sedan.

Cheers, Brent

We're building a house at the moment, so a lot of those kays were driving to display homes for hundreds of kilometres. Funny how wanting to drive your car equals happy to spend a full day looking at display homes...

I know your "pain/enjoyment" you look at so many, and they're all different, and all the same, and then you can't remember which one you like more. Haha

I made my decision thankfully, went from Newcastle to Wollongong, and then to port macquarie just to make sure I liked the floor plan.

Depends on:

- when you put a deposit down
- when the dealer had their next free unit to spec
- if it was manual or auto

Lots of reasons.

Received an email from the dealer today with a SIDO and VIN number. Such a relief as I am flying out to pick up my XR8 and then go on a two week holiday to do some running in miles around Cairns, Port Douglas and the Townsville V8's. It should be sitting in the Cairns showroom waiting for me for a few weeks until pick up on the 29th June. Chris.

Hey mate, you couldn't let me know what the format of a SIDO is? Four digit number is it?

Cheers.

The local fuzz have got a Kinetic XR6T unmarked car now, it looks great. Well, when it's going in the opposite direction it does anyway.

How good are the lights on the FGX for unlit highway driving? Can you sit on 100 kph and feel comfortable that forward vision is adequate or does high beam need an upgrade. Cheers Chris.

I know not everyone wants to talk about the normal XR6, though I bought one and would like to know if someone who knows can confirm that the manual XR6 sedans have a LSD?
