When was I going to be told?????????????

I must say this is the worst client service from the dealer in Brisbane. I spoke to the rep handling he was more concerned about putting out "bushfires". Well I lighted a whole new one for him!!!!!!!!!!!

I spoke to the Dealer Principal who confirmed they have "dropped the ball", well this was bite 2 of the cherry, as I had ordered a new Mondeo which got six different delivery dates, that ended up cancelled. I saw red...

Dealer principal is looking for one now, all but black!!!! at their costs..

If its not Ford its a Ford Dealer, I guess they excel in ****ing people off.

Why can I look at Carsales .com and see them, at least 8 of them with my specs??? Or are we just getting crapped on..

Part of the problem is that the dealer has the car, is not obligated to give up that car, and they see a good car like an xr6 turbo as good property, would you give away something that you have good potential to earn some money on, and gain a percentage of the target required. Most dealers won't, unless they get something equally decent in return, they also then hope that you cancel, and take your order to them as they have the vehicle.

Fair comment, but I would walk away form Ford all together, I am sure $51,000.00 would be welcomed elsewhere, considering Ford is 58th in car sales, I would be fighting for every sale.

You have waited this long, wait the extra couple of months and get exactly what you want, but have the dealer compensate you with a few freebys, they owe you that much.

Good point and good suggestion!!!

The upside is that I had a hard time choosing Smoke and Aero Blue, so its back on drawing board

Hard to be picky on colours when there's only a couple to choose from... I'm still dumbfounded there is no bright red on offer.

Special edition XR8 sprint in red anyone??

Unfortunately it isn't ford motor company, they have no control post wholesaling the vehicle to the dealer,

Out of curiosity what is the expected delivery on your contract?

If the date the car is due 30 days past this date the contract is void,
You are entitled to request your deposit back in full, and can then ring the dealer with the vehicle of your choosing(carsales), work out a new deal, have them include delivery(We offer to your door service) or choose to go to them and have the car right away.

Was to be delivered late August, but seeing it was ordered some weeks later???. October now is the date, so count back 12 weeks. I had a Mondeo ordered and cancelled that, it was March order but 6 dates later.. enough. I am ready to do that carsales walk. salary sacrifice but I can do the negotiating

October seems unbelievable, from my own personal experience, we have cars as for out as august build allocation, these cars will be in the showroom in September, find out if they have an NSC or SIDO.

That is why I rang today, at least get a sido, and then DP told October, so I think it hasn't been ordered or ordered only a few weeks ago. I signed it all off in early May.

I would have been happy with a sido, but when they don't communicate and I have to chase them, I get suspicious, Ford dealership or Ford, they can tell us.. They cant communicate not a chance in hell getting after sale service....I can spend my money elsewhere and tell a lot of people BAD things..

Make enquiries to see if you can obtain same or similar deal elsewhere, pm me if you want to chat about things re: stock system/allocations and sold units.

So i got on to the dealer today and he assured me the order has definitely been placed and i am one of 5 they have allocated to them. They havent received any SIDOs yet but he said their allocation will likely be in December with delivery shortly after.

Excellent news. Got to be stoked with that! Keep on to them for that SIDO though...
You'll get yours around the same time as i do.
As an aside are you also on Ozfalcon?

I would be getting them to help you out on the price. That tint and paint protection was offered to me for $2495, but I pushed back telling them I had OptiCoat and 3M tint lined up elsewhere. Dropped to $1500, then $1200, then eventually $950. A friggin rip.

I would expect the protector to be a freebie, also mats, headlight protectors, and a full tank of juice. The least they can do for you, and sharpen the price on the protection (or go to Express Tinting Browns Plains for the OptiCoat/Tint for $995).

Demand more, and only deal with the DP, not the sales guy. We are building a house at the moment, and we have pushed back on the builder on so many things - we have probably saved over $10K just from being diligent. This was done nicely, but also pointing out their failings in order to gain dispensations.

You don't ask, you don't get.

Very sound advice right there.
What is the worse they can say? No?
The dealer is out to make the most they can and there are good ones out there who also look after the customer whilst doing it. The customer should always try to save & get as much as they can from the deal. Obviously without being totally ruthless, dont know any not for profit car dealers!
Be clear what you want from the outset and go from there.
I got all the accessories except for the alarm as part of my deal, purely by being clear about what i wanted from the first conversation.
I also said i wouldnt sign until i was assured the aftermarket people wouldnt contact me as i believe all that is a massive ripoff. The product might be alright but it can be organised after delivery without the markup!

I'd say probably know.

I did have to compromise and get an Auto instead of the manual but is no big deal.

They recon the manual boxes are in shortage and almost unobtainable.

The dealer recons they havent ordered enough manual boxes to cover the orders so they are fitting the autos. True or not, im not sure.

Either way im not fussed. I got a XC with a toploader if i feel like changing gears!
