Spotto'ed a GJ Sigma wagon from early 80s
(I had to google for model info, was never a mitsi expert).
Was towing a cage trailer and the rear was full so still being well used by its owner

Got 3 spotto's today, the first was a Datsun 1600, Light brown colour, was going opposite direction, but looked original.
Then a Datsun 120Y badly sun faded but also looked original.
Then a HR panel van, light green with original SA plates on, again looked completely original.
Must be the nice weather, quite a few convertibles out today as well.
Cheers,

Did a double take when a 70s Toyota Corona popped up in a side street yesterday. I got my P's in one of those. This one was red, looked like it had been painted with a roller, but hey it was still running.

After a return trip along the length of the Pacific H'Way / M'way last week, Commodores or Falcons are outnumbered by Teslas.
Replace kids' game of PunchBug with PunchFalcodore.

Yep.
Being used for what they were intended, not as polished weekenders and garage ornaments.
Plenty of Mustangs. The only Monaro I saw was the one I was driving.

No. And I baffled why not.

But, I will see a few this weekend .......... at the mobile advertising sign Supergokarts roundy rounds.

I saw one at local shops the other day in white.
They are bit on ugly side, too many sharp angles

Oddly enough, one of the blokes who works at my local bowlo drives an 82 300d wagon. It is his first car and he is 37. He has had it since he was 16. Its orange and a wagon. Non turbo diesel and not in the best of shape but hey, if it runs it runs. Even after he washes it it only takes a day or so to do the fade from orange on the front to black on the back.

If it's old, running and on full reg, I will always appreciate a diesel Merc.

I drove one of these for 3 weeks back in the 90's, mid mounted, rear wheel drive and 5speed manual. Great fun. Chatted to the young guy driving it and he said it came to him through a family member on the condition it never gets sold outside the family

Not so much one car but the whole dealership still operating.. One for the Holden fans.
Late model Commodores show for sale labels on the windscreen.
Parts counter in background looked well stocked.

Nice Monaro.

Lieschke Holbrook?

Surprised they are still going and with holden siganage. Makes you wonder why they've not been changed over.
They've also always had some desirable Holdens in the showroom/yard. I reckon they are hanging onto a few.
Great to see i reckon.

Wonder if Walla Walla dealer is still there.
I know Craig at Bailey's, Gunning left his shop looking original 1970's dealership.

If anyone sees a camira post it here. Haven't seen one since about 1999 and it was missing a panel or 6. They must have all gone off the road really early.

Didn't GM ask the Holden dealers to remove signage? The Holden dealership closest to me, that now sells Suzuki and Haval still has the Holden signs up too.

I believe they can still display the brand, because Holden service & parts is still a thing.

We have a few Camiras in our car club. The later JE 2.0 model wasn't such a bad thing, so much better than the early JB 1.6 carby model.

another non car but it is a very rare truck in Oz. Again at Holbrook. NSW.
We never got the US C series cabovers as Ford Aust sold the Pommie D series here and later Cargo.
This is a medium/heavy duty truck which were built between 1967 and 1990, without much change.
A very successful design, everyone from fire depts, towing, short haul deliveries to garbage compactors companies used them.
All the cabs were built by Budd and also supplied Mack with a similar cabover medium. They used a myriad of engine combination from small straight 6 petrols and big gasser V8's to Detroit, Cat, Ford and Cummins.

Dealer sources say Holden signage at more than half of the brand's 203 showrooms around the country has already been removed. Some dealers are keeping their Holden signage in place until they can replace it with a new brand. According to our sources the deadline for removal of all dealer signage is the end of 2022.

I thought I remember hearing this. Seems GM did want them to remove all Holden signage. Obviously some don't want to.

Some of these little 1000 person pop. towns in NSW/vic probably won't go to another brand or they'll end up selling tractors instead. Like one in Benalla recently did.

I like the idea of walking into a Holden dealer and buying a new/near new VF in 2023.
