Not Standard they don't, it's part of an option pack on the turbo. Only Std on XR8

After some ringing around, I found a kinetic manual in Brisbane!
Hopefully get it in the next week or so!

I'll be in my FG-X XR6 Turbo ute mid next week! Looking forward to going back the a Barra after having a Coyote for, 4 1/2 years.
Already got the inside of the XR8 bonnet painted, just waiting for the car for the final colour match without blending. Silhouette too, ZF, rare as rocking horse poo (as far as I know) at the moment unless you're prepared to wait until Feb/March 2016 for one!

Any more detail on the svp xr8? What will they likely add? Different colour wheels? Trim bits? A lil more power?
I'm worried that the price will be at a premium as soon as 2016 comes. Not much discounting will happen? Is it better to pay $65k for a svp xr8 or buy a 2015 for $55k? Likely changes worth a $10k premium? Even the GTF was only a bit more power and trim pieces so surely they wouldn't do more than that for final svp xr8? |

Signed my life away Tuesday, car gets loaded onto a toll transport truck this coming Monday, and should arrive here in Melbourne Thursday/Friday.
I got the dealer to send me some photos. Its a July 2015 build. Quote:
Haha, my sister tried the same tactic! I'll send more pics as I get em. cheers!

There are plenty at dealers if you search carsales, from mid to low 50's. Obviously the initial demand has been filled.

I saw a Kinetic FGX XR8 in Sydney about 2 weeks ago, driving in traffic along the Pacific Highway at Turramurra, and was facing me. The colour really popped in a sea of boring cars, and the car really stood out. The driver had a big beam on his face as well. Enjoy- another 9 months odd of production (less for manuals) and this icon will be no more. For us that have them, will be like having a really good red, store it or enjoy it.....???

I thought it may have been a display car from the showroom floor. It's good to see someone score a nice manual. . Last edited by Express; 26-11-2015 at 04:11 PM. |

Quiet a few of new XR8s sitting around at dealers now that initial demand has died off.
Some real good deals to be had for those that dont mind a 2015 build. In WA can get an auto for $55k drive-away easy.

Probably didn't get to QLD till late August. It's been sitting in Q Fords holding yard by the looks of it as it hasn't had a detail yet. They don't display every car in stock, costs too much money keeping them clean and damage free.

I've actually started seeing a 2-3 XR8s quite regularly now around here, including a black one which went past me on the Tuggeranong Parkway after the Cotter Road overpass the other day. Considering there is a speed camera just before it was moving bloody quick

I think the fgx xr8 will be the next collectible to the GT-F
GT desirability has always been about the substance of the car attached to the GT badge . The latest fgx xr8 is all substance with Only the fpv GT-F that stands taller for its performance specifications. Fgx is also the last, looks great and there are not many around nor are there many base spec cars around unlike fg or bf. I say go get one now people, be it xr8 or xr6 turbo or g6et, but dont wait. |

I'd like to buy a last month production winter white FGX G6E Turbo, the last true Australian built car with what I consider the best the best 6 cylinder engine in the world.

I am starting to see a lot FGX Sedans and utes on the road - mainly XR6's and X-RAY 6 Turbo's. So FoMoCo is getting the the supply of vehicles out to the delearships for people to buy. However in the nearly 12 months I have had my FGX XR8 I have only seen 3 other XR8's on the road - one in white and the other two in Silhouette. Interesting enough in and around my Suburb in Brisvegas I have manage to see 5 different GTF cars which I thought would would been a rarer beast to see! Go figure! For anyone who is still fence sitting , my recommendation is don't wait for the last minute because you may end up being very disappointed that you can't order a new FGX sedan or ute because there will be none to be had! Regards, Brent

here's one for all of us waiting. Spoke to my dealer Saturday and he said there will be no 2016 XR8's. I have known this man for a lot of years on a personal basis and he would have no reason to bait me into buying now. can somebody with inside knowledge on here give us an answer?
