Saw this on 60 Minutes the other night and thought I'd thought I'd see if anyone else had an intrest in it.
Parkour: A philosophy and a method of movement through any environment, with efficiency and fluidity. The concept of Parkour is to overcome all physical and mental obstacles in your path by using your body and mind to run, climb, jump, vault, etc. Developed by David Belle. Love it. These guys are nuts. Check out some of the Jump series vids, youtube maybe? Also see some of the stuff in the new bond and diehard movies. Insane.

Yeah, theres a heap on youtube, including some stuff used in a few movies. These dudes are mad. Try spelling it with a 'c' too. They do this up and down building too. Theres some ?Russian? dude who is just crazy. Coppers would have a hard time catching them.
This isnt bad Russian Dude. The start is fairly boring, but bear with it, it gets much better. This guy has no fear. Its been around for a few years at least, maybe 10 that I know of. Its just, if you can say just, gymnasts with attitude and throw in some martial arts. Still very intense stuff... This one shows the process, and the actual art behind it. It looks pretty cool.. CNN had the exact same video footage on today as the 60min Ep.
I dont know how long it will last thou. But with saying that, there were kids at my high school in the late 90s doing this stuff around the court yards. |

I just watched this French movie Banlieue 13
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0414852/ A bit of a mixed bag action movie with Parkour in it. Considering David Belle stars in it, that is no surprise.
