Yep, thumbs up! Just got back, and loved it. Was fairly packed out with action, and the storyline was good. Few funny bits also. I did like how the autobots were plain looking "blank exoskeletons" until they scanned the vehicles and took their image.
And yes, Megan Fox is schweeet!
Oh yeah, my son loved it also.

I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. I know sod all about the Transformers and thought they integrated teaching you who were the bad guys and who were the good guys quite well. Managed to massacre a yellow Monaro (GTO), wonder if Holden had to pay for that exposure.

They also managed to make you feel emotion for the robots which is usually tough to pull off.

I'd give it a solid 8/10.

Saw the movie last night. I'm still on a buzz. Brought back memories of growing up watching the orignal series and the original Gen 1 movie.

Will be going back to see it again.

Well done to Michael Bay for a great transition from Cartoon to "Reality" Movie!

Oh and I would love to place an order for a Mustang. Very nice

Very good indeed. The trivia listed on IMDB is also very interesting.

Hmmm wonder when they will make Voltron?

Loved the movie, BUT...

Didn't agree on the ending (won't spoil it for those who haven't seen it), and I would have preferred to see less American patriotism everywhere in the film (there's more places in the world than USA and Iraq!).

However, I would have loved to see more of Megan Fox! Ye-owzer.

I was a little disappointed, but it really was an awesome movie. Would have been cool if they left it open for a sequel, or not so much sequel but just for guessing.

What was with starscream at the end?

**Spoiler**

In fact, I just read there is going to be one.. Another transformers movie without megatron though? Err.

PS. What was with Jazz dying when he didn't even do anything in the film?

I'm still not sure about this one.. I saw it last night, loved it - but as I predicted, Michael Baynisms stopped it from being truely awesome.

Plus, they could have done with a little more suttle product placement. That's all I'll say about that.

Finally, for the kids at home, watch out for a Monaro/Pontiac GTO get utterly destroyed near the end of the movie. Seeing as how this is sponsered by GM, that surprised me a little....but maybe it has more to do with reaffirming that the Comaro is the new hero car...

Plenty of room for a sequel. Prime sending a signal for other Autobots to join him on Earth, plus he kept a piece of the All Spark from Megatrons Chest. Star Scream taking off into Space to retreat and find other Decepticons to rebuild his Army. Plenty there to work with.

Well where to start. Firstly, how freaking disappointing! There were sections that where so crap, such bad acting, and it was so CORNY at times. And so many Americanism that made it to cliche.

But, wow, the graphics, UNREAL! Never seen anything like that. Sometimes the fight scenes moved to quick, I guess that made it easier not to include detail.

Cars were awesome, and that Camaro! Damn! They are going to sell well.

Did anyone else notice how when ever there was a slow mo of a car being smashed more often or not it was a BMW?...LOL

I would give it 2/5. If it wasn't for the graphics then it would have been a major flop. Loved the voices too.

Yep, have to agree...........a big disappointment overall. There were a few magic moments. But the overall plot, acting and overtly sick AMERICANISMS made me shake my head in disbelief..........

It was afterall a rated M movie, they could have done a much more intelligent plot and had better actor dialogue. I also agree with many of the scenes being way too fast.......and what is the deal with those ridiculuous FAST CLOSEUPS during the action scenes..........

2/5 overall............happy to see OPTIMUS and MEGATRON on the Big Screen but disappointed with the overall feel of the film............could also have been shortened by 40+ mins...........easy.

Completely agree!! Went for waaay to long and they just crapped on.

I thought it was a comedy at points aswell. Yet another movie that its trailer showed the majority of the good stuff.....

2 more !!!!!

Are you sure ?

I hope UNICRON makes an appearance......as well as GALVATRON.......and they better get with the program and focus more on the ROBOT characters and less on the "human" side of things........A proper Intergalactic battle theme with more gadgets and ROBOT fight scenes !!!!!!!

TRANSFORMERS..........ROLL OUT

WOW

My g/f and I just came back from seeing it and gotta tell ya we thought it was GREAT.

The whole movie theatre was laughing along with the comedy bits and the graphic was hot man! Move over Matrix....lol

It was a bit long but the ending was all so intense and fast moving that you didnt seem to notice.....its just a shame it didnt have all the characters in it from the series. The battle between Optimus and Megatron was awesome.

Special effects and action sequences were awesome, so was seeing that GTO get it LOL! But as mentioned above... longer than it needed to be and some of the acting was disgraceful. Ok for 9 year olds maybe but with the M rating surely some more work could have been done?
