Kudos to Ford and their market research for delivering something like this.
Im sure they would have dotted all the i's and crossed the t's before releasing something like this with market research, focus groups etc.. The performance based market is not going away any time soon. That and people who will buy it on looks alone. Ford is finally bring people what they want instead of the accountants dictating to people what they can and WILL have. Did FoA have a lot to do with the Design of new Ranger like they did previously...if so credit where credit is due.

I noticed in videos of the new Ford raptor in Asia they come with a sliding tub cover like the wildtrack. See here at (7min:20)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QJUILTHelJI The Australian Raptors here seem to be open tubs. Will the new Australian delivered raptor have the siding tub cover? Or will that be extra, or even available in Aus? |

Well I ordered a Ford Ranger Raptor, delivery before end of year I am told.
I looked at the last generation Raptor but I didn’t want the 4 cylinder diesel. I was hoping for the V8 Coyote but that never eventuated. So am happy there is a petrol twin turbo v6, great suspension and diff locks as I will 4wd in it. So ford, you got another customer for doing that. I am a bit over the issues with Diesel injectors, DPf’s , catch cans etc in my current diesel. As an aside I cross shopped Ram 1500. Nice v8, plenty of space for the family, but the new DT limited was $130K DA…. ( there are cheaper ones on the old ram platform but they are archaic inside) And 6-12 months wait anyway. Which I could not justify. |

I cross shopped the RAM as well but where the hell did you find a Limited for $130k? Cheapest I could find was $155k. |

So thinking about the accessory’s for my raptor , hopefully the industry gets on to them quickly
- front off-road animal low bar for protection and mounting - stedi light bar for night driving - long rang tank. I have 180 litres now and would never go back. May have to move the spare into the tub I guess, unless there is free space under there anywhere. Great for up the cape but also allows you to ride out the fuel price cycles. I fill up now once every 6 weeks. - a thin lithium duel battery setup behind the rear seat. I see there is not space under the bonnet with the new petrol raptor, unlike the new diesel. Then I can put my fridge in the tray for camping. Last edited by Gumboot; 13-06-2022 at 10:00 AM. |

I got an update on my Wildtrak V6D Friday telling me that there is now "little chance" of me seeing mine this year.... Was going to be November, then December, then Late December... The more it gets pushed back, the more the mods to my "fun car" and current daily get pushed back... At what point do I just say "Screw it" and buy something else... They have a few Brand New PX3 Wiltrack Bi-Turbos on the lot.. Get in one of those and drive it for a few years before getting a new one... Im the most impatient person in the world.. which is a bad think at the moment trying to buy a new daily...

Mine will turn up when it turns up, if its a bit later, no big deal.
They did ask if I wanted to swap to a F150 order for next year though, they told me I would be 5th in the queue as they have 4 contracts already signed for the F150. |

Here's another tough dual cab.
I've heard the rear overhang on the Triton can be a bit cumbersome offroad, but I reckon the extra tray is actually perfect for mounting a rocket launcher you pilfered from a shot-down attack helicopter, reducing the blast on the cabin: https://twitter.com/DefenceU/status/...C4mbCR090qAAAA

Fuel prices are high but if anyone with a Raptor order gets cold feet, there’s always the V6 diesel Sport. |

Same boat as most people here. I have a v6 wildtrak on order with premium pack, recurved a call saying if I ditch the premium pack I can get November build delivery December.. if I keep it would be well into next year …
I’m not waiting 4-5 -6 months longer just for some fancy headlights and some switches I’ll never use…. The stereo is going to suck though |

Well I now have the VIN and a build date in late July for my Raptor. The excitement is starting to build.

That's awesome news that production is about to kick off. Bet your super excited. Hopefully some of the aftermarket get it quickly as well. Like off-road animal (Love their front bars) and Brown Davies for long range tanks |

Does anyone know if the Raptor has an option to get a spray in bed-liner instead of the drop in ones like the option on the Wildtrak and Sport? My dealer didn't know.
I much prefer it, as hard wearing and it doesn't scratch the paint or get water under it. |

Small update. Got an email from the dealer with a link for the new ranger ARB accessory's available and asking if I want any on my raptor pre-delivery. I only really wanted a long ranger fuel tank or a dual battery system , both of which are not available at this stage the raptor.

Came across a new Raptor this evening at the shops, in that orange- red colour. Looks big in the photos, looks even bigger in the metal.

I believe you can track the shipping by getting the ship name off the dealer. Then once in the country you can track the delivery to the dealer. |

How does the Code Orange look in person? It's hard to gauge in pictures as they all seem to look different. Some pictures show a bright orange where others look more fire engine red. It was a bit of a leap of faith ordering that colour without seeing it but I didn't want 50 shades of grey, black or white.
