I've played them all and the story certainly gets going much faster than IV. It's boring right now because I'm doing the same old thing to try and progress the story. I'm not looking to be 'gripped' by the story lines, I just want a story line. Like I said, at the moment all I'm doing is playing crappy games with the cousin and banging the girl on the side at least 10 times each. My cousin likes me 100% and Michelle likes me 100%.

Haha Michelle hates me, I'm guessing because we went to a bar and I got absolutely plastered. At least I had the decency to fork out for a cab, stupid cow. I haven't scored with her yet either.

Just answer your phone less when your friends call, it annoys me at times too.

She didn't like me for a little bit when I sent her over the handlebars of my bike. :P I've taken her to a bar and drove her home while drunk... still got me some afterwards too.

Obviously there's a trigger for the story to progress but I can't work out what it is. Did the same stupid crap with the cousin and the girl this morning. She hit me up for some coke for her friend and I thought, here we go.. but Niko said something like.. 'what do you think I am, a drug dealer...' and that was that.

Even tried taking her to the strip club but there was no way to activate something happening there, so took her for a burger instead. I'm a big spender!

Lol, that's hilarious.

I take it you've been doing jobs for your cousin? (I forget his name), a guy called Vlad gets introduced through him pretty soon after you start. You start doing work for him, go and see him in the bar directly opposite your safehouse. There's a 'V' marker outside the door. That gets things going.

The friends are only there to provide you with services, like the car service.

I hate this Game - It is ruining my work productivity - I have only played it for a handful of hours and all i can think about at work is GTA -

So much more detail in this game than the previous chapters - Although you can't shoot out traffic lights -

Cops are harder to kill and can kill you quicker - I like to just free roam and check things out - I wish the whole map was open from the start

Yes. Hit that trigger. When I saw R for Roman, I was calling him which would actually change his location and I'd go pick him up, never tweaked. If you don't call him and turn up to his taxi rank then the story continues... Finally!

I wasn't the only one to get confused like that... thankfully.

Found out the hard way that it wasn't. Going over the bridge in a nice Vette and noticed the blockade... moments before I went head first through the windscreen. :(

it took you that long to move further into the storyline...? this is why the map is your friend!

Also turns out the only things edited were being able to 'see' your player having sex in your car. Certainly no language was removed, want proof? watch tele in your apartment, their is a show called "{something C**ts" and its written!! bloody hilarious too! and the radio stations have excelled themselves again. they have employed a few actors from Saturday Night Live btw. Plus a live stand-up performance from Ricky Gervais! Priceless!!!

Well, time to knock off work and go home to kill more Russians.

i've found it a little slow. i've been enjoying just driving around and pulling hand brakies in the cinematic view. Whats nice is that they dont confiscate your weapons when you go to hospital.

Has anyone else had the game go a bit whacky on them? I had to deliver a parcel for jacob, but when I got where I had to go, I stood next to the bloke where the arrow was and nothing would happen. Next I went to take a drugo to pay off his dealer, same thing went to the arrow, nothing happened, usualy it instantly goes to a cut scene.

Has anyone found a sniper rifle?

I'm waiting for my R18 copy so at the moment i've only done two or three missions so haven't opened up any new areas yet. I've been exploring and found some guns (an uzi, shotgun and a few handguns) and other weapons behind buildings etc... but i can't find a sniper rifle. I'm dying to climb up that big space needle looking thing and shoot some people in the head.

Yes. About 8 hours of gameplay which was really giving me the irits. I played a little multiplayer which stopped me taking the game back.

I made the mistake of calling Roman instead of just driving over there. When you call, it triggers a mini game and you don't perpetuate the story even though you pick him up from the same place.

Got lots of shagging in from a broad who wanted to hear lots of interesting things.

The weapons were doing funny things to me. I don't recall if I turned down the baseball bat on one of the missions or it just didn't equip it. I grabbed a bad guys knife off him, what looks like an M16, a pistol and a shotty. Saved my game. Played the next morning and all my weapons gone.

Throwing a can through the window of the laundromat was dire. If I picked something up, as soon as I got to the window it was dissapear from my hand. If I stood back so it wouldn't dissapear it would miss the window. After 10 attempts I just decided a shotty would do the trick.

When you go into a weapons shop early in the missions, it shows it as a demo only (in the store) whereas you can buy the uzi. So it stands to reason that you're probably not going to find a sniper rifle (there was 2 different ones I believe) out on the street until you're capable of buying one.

Accidently wandered out onto a runway at the airport. That was only worth 3 stars I think. Car was beat up and I had not much health left after I flattened a cop to score his rifle and do a runner a few moments before so it may have also been 4. :P

Haven't had that but on one of the missions when I was chasing down someone I wanted to execute (it's not exactly a spoiler since you do a lot of executing) I took a completely wrong turn and thought he had got away. All of a sudden it cut to a cutscene where I had him at gunpoint.

There are a few niggly bugs like this that I would have thought they could have captured before release. Oh well, at least you can patch games on these consoles today.

hahaha, still waiting!!! should've just bought the aussie one. There's next to no difference in the two, and you could be half way through the game by now.

i havent had any glitches yet, but there is an area on the first island that is like a big outdoor seated area on the foreshore, covered in chairs and tables and things, i have gone through there in a car a few times and on each occasion it i have experienced a shocking drop in framerate. its vomit inducing.

Did anyone else have to repeat the motorbike mission (kill the boyfriend) several times, or am i just useless on two wheels?!?

I've only spent a few hours playing it, I've got a damn uni assignment that takes priority at the moment. I'm going to be playing it all this weekend though.

I still haven't tried it online either, does anyone here have Xbox Live? We should have a forum shoot fest.

Got through it 2nd go. It did highlight how difficult it is to aim a weapon while driving though.

After playing it for a little while i haven't noticed a huge difference. There is more swearing but not much, i've never tried many missions in the Aust copy so can't comment on the gun up the bum scene, i can see the ladies of the night working my thing in the car though
Also there are more stations on the tv in the safe house, the tv monitors in the porn store have content of some sort playing (i haven't seen this myself) and the strippers have actual nipples instead of tassels.

Oh, and it cost me less. I've actually made money trading in the Australian copy after playing the crap out of it for almost a week

yeah i gave it about 7 or eight coz i kept stacking the bike. Then i remembered if you hold circle while driving it focuses the camera on who your chasing, this helped me ride alot better, and shoot straighter. Didnt help that two cars of cops decided they'd join the party when we got to the shootout in the trees...

Never tried the focus on driver.. would have probably got a few shots off on target. Oh well, not going to go back and try it again. :P
