Curious as to what dramas they are having?

Not too bad, imho.

But this has just started last year hasn't it? How can they tell what claims have been made in 7 years?

Ahh ok, the 7 year thing started 7 years ago in the UK. Not bad actually considering their road conditions are worse than ours IMO.

Well, that article does say it was a positive move for Kia.

Sure, "plenty" of dramas considering that 7yr warranty has been around for about 5 mins or so, I see you are pulling opinions out of thin air again.

My Kia is 18 months old with a 5 yr warranty and so far its been in for....um, they've replaced.....er, the widget on the flux capacitor has been replaced under warranty, just like "all" these other problem kias.
Actually, no, the only issue is the dash has a rattle when the weather is cold. Thats it.

Kia has a major issue regarding parts.
Headlights, bumpers, mirrors etc are fine. But if you need new carpet, wiring loom, headrest they dont even have part numbers listed for them, letalone any availability.

Ahhhh another person acting like a child who likes to throw accusations. I'm not pulling opinions from thin air pal. It was being discussed the other week so I did I quick google search...(I suggest you try this before you apologise)
There have been issues from total engine failure, airbags not deploying to simple electrical things like heated seats not working and gearbox electronics playing up! How about you grow up, and do some research before you call someone out!
And I'm not attacking KIA if that's your problem. I'm amazed at their 7yr warranty and think its a winner. Kia even free of charge extended peoples capped price servicing on cars bought before the 7 year warranty came out......out to 7 years for them, even if their warranty was only 5 yrs. not bad! I was just stating that they along with every other brand have issues! Jeez......

Also I was just notified that last month.... Kia escaped a 1.1mil fine for raising the prices of their fixed servicing contracts. Something in the way they worded it allowed them to get away with it, but consumer affairs ruled it false advertising of sorts. They beat the infringement by smartly rewording the fixed servicing contracts and agreeing to contact and REFUND EVERY owner that had been effected or had payed for inflated services above their initial agreement prices.
Edit...consumer affairs is now checking other manufacturers that offer the same.

Kia.....not so squeaky clean hey....but did the right thing in the end which is very commendable!

Saw my first FGX taxi last night, so some of the traditional Falcon buyers are still ordering them.

I saw my first ever FGX sedan, a XR6 Turbo. Felt like I'd just seen a Tasmanian Tiger

That's two FGX's in total - a ute & a sedan.
