Its got me buggered. As i said to go around them, yes you might be able to go over the limit but at the end of the day you will get further as you stated to set cruise and go through them ....

Wait until we see the Pt 2 Pt cameras from Melb to Bris when they finish the dual carriage way all the way through. People will be cussing big time then BC after there holiday they will get a fine in the mail.
I cant wait really, as a truckie i would like to see them slowed down. especially up near the Coffs Harbour bottle neck :

Also pointless is you post, as we had speed limits based on 10% but the Government did away with them.

I can't see a change of Government going back to 10% either, the revenue is too great.
As I have also said, it doesn't affect me as I don't speed.

The police in cars allow 10%, it is the fixed camera's and the camera cars that are set at 3km/h
Ted Baillieu (leader of the opposition) proposed a plan to change the laws on speed detection, can't remember if he stuck to it though?

I see what your saying, I didn't mean if he stuck to it as in he implemented the policy change, how can he if he's in opposition, I was meaning did he stick to his policy/election promise? I can't remember if he did? I think he was pressured a bit and dropped it?

He would have had to have won the election to get the chance to impliment his shadow policy.....

common sense if they had have listened.

Since then he has become more of a danger than anything on the roads. he sees a camera and stomps the brakes.

It was offered at the 2006 election to take it back to 10%, was popular with everyone but the government, shame they didn't win in the end.

Thing is, given the coalition is a real chance this year to form a minority government ala Steve Bracks 1999, I wonder if they have the guts to put it forward again...

Now I may well be wrong on this, but I always thought car speedos were manufactured to be within 10%, so how can they book you for a smaller speed variation?

Liberals have about as much chance of winning the election this year as I have winning Bathurst in my XE.

In case you can't work it out, they have NO chance of winning Government.

Yep, but if I remember there was a big out cry about this proposed election promise, so wasn't sure if kept his "shadow policy" or just let blow away and it be forgotten, he probably won't get elected this year anyway so doesn't matter in the end.

Yep.
But your XE may be more refreshing than Ted. Hey I'm 100% sure its more refreshing than our lord mayor Robert Doyle! What a burnout that guy is!

On the Melbourne to Geelong freeway the camera are usually fixed on bridges. As you pass them "snap".

Also driving to Geelong someone years ago has painted a " $ " sign , yellow, on the road (middle lane) in front of the speed camera bridges. Funny 1st time I saw it.
