It isn't an offence to ride your bicycle on the footpath in Queensland unless otherwise stated.

You'll find that offense is American English. Though technically correct, we use offence since we use UK English.

Ideally the licencing authority would test on the whole rule book, not just how to operate a car.

You can get booked for eating or drinking (non-alcoholic drink) whilst driving. Comes under not being in full control of the vehicle.
And yes, it's as stupid as the mud splashing a bus one. As for quoting a rule number when advertising. Sounds a little silly. Just advertising should be enough to wake people up to the fact, don't do what they're advertising not to do.

Any protrusion/ component, feature object or fitting on the vehicle whose design, construction and/or condition and the manner in which it is affixed, is likely to create the risk of bodily injury to any person.
this is a law in Vic at least :http://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/NR/rd...340/0/VSI8.pdf sec 16 seems reasonable? certainly and that would include having 4 inches or more of solid metal bar protruding from the vehicle, as outlined in http://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/NR/rd...FF/0/VSI24.pdf Given I see Police cars violating this reg, its unlikely anyone is going to get picked up for this, but it may be a different matter if someone sues you for injury/damages. |
