Either not ideal conditions or they don't know how to drive it properly.

Well shipments are starting to be delivered to the Dealerships, so starting soon we should see a few videos of people attempting to get low tens/high 9's. I'm sure there will be a few fails and some individual's insurance premiums going up respectively.

I'm looking forward to seeing what some back-yarders get out of the Demon, or a company like Hennessy. The 2015 Hellcat motor (707hp) was capable of around 1050-1100 horsepower without pulling the engine apart. I think the only main part in the Demon motor (808hp) that's in the hellcat is the cylinder head. Just about everything else has been replaced or srtengthened etc.

Here's a new advert:

Would be exciting times for the lucky few that ordered one:

They better install some smoke detectors in their can transporters :P

It's slowly getting trickled out to the customers and the lowest 1/4 mile time outside of the Dodge team that I've heard is a 10.2 after about 15 passes.

Tim Allen picking his Demon up, seems just a tad happy. Leno looks like he just had 10 cones.

They've generally got real criminals to chase in the USA...

if you get a chance go visit Detroit for the Woodward dream cruise, Funny cars are road legal, car enthusiasts are ok, unlike vicpol that will place an unroadworthy sticker on a registered car that is being towed on a car trailer after a meet....

Do the Henry Ford museum while you're there.

Hahaha. Tim Allen would do that outside the Vatican if he could.

I haven't seen any footage of it yet so that street could have been cordoned off if say it would be featured on Jay Leno's Garage. Otherwise you're right, no ***** given and cya later fella's.

If he did that here all his tv shows would be immediately pulled off air, his licence cancelled and then banned from entering our country.
They would open an enquiry that would last 3 to 4 years and cost taxpayers $50 million dollars, it would result in a new international celebrity driving law to protect the citizens of Australia should anything that dangerous ever happen again.

When I used to do my annual pilgrimage to the Car Craft Summer Nats in Minnesota the Minneapolis/St Paul police allowed any classic cars with or without exhaust to drive through the twin cities over the full Thursday night to Sunday night period of the show.
Of course there was hell to pay for all the hundreds of deaths and injuries caused by this anti social behaviour. NOT!

Been to the Henry Ford museum, was amazing and sported all American memorabilia, and not just Fords. There were planes, caravans, buses, trucks and motorbikes, as well as the ex-presidential vehicles. And yes it seems they do have bigger fish to fry than motorists. Visited the WTC site and they had fully armed police patrolling and state troopers everywhere. Seen a motorcyclist pop a wicked wheelie at the lights right in front of them and zero hoots given, the cops just stood there.

Well said. If australia is good at anything, it definitely is good at making mountains out of molehills and causing storms in teacups...cringeworthy

They must be using HSV's timing methods. No one has been able to get close to the claimed times from what I've read.

Give it time. Only a dozen or so of serious or capable drivers have had it out on the strip and most without the goodies in the crate, and far from ideal conditions - I'm not talking about some amateur reviewer who has one run, pulls an 11.5 then tells the world in his articles the Demon is only good for high 10's and not the 9.65 time certified by the NHRA.

Already approaching the low tens:

First video the guy ran only 6 passes on this track, no skinnies and only used the trans-brake on the last two runs:

Next clip is 1/8 mile with 808 hp. His projected time could be even faster and he's using less hp:

Still, not bad for a ''They are good for burnouts but not much else. 2 tonne whale''
