You will need to buy (or borrow) a GTech. Stick it in your car following the instructions (takes less than a minute and has no screws etc so is fully removable) thengo find a nice straight, flat road and go for it.

I should add there are different versions of these around.

Some of those cars are far from stock mate. Take Casper for example, my car which is exactly the same runs a 7.6 dead stock. Caspers has exhaust mods, chip and a few other things, is it really that hard to believe his now running 6.8?

So you think my car can't do 0-100 in 5.4sec ?

Maybe it can't. The quoted times for my car is 0-100 in 5.9 and 1/4 mile in 14.2
I have taken the car down the 1/4 and it did do a 14.2, but using the calc at the website that Casper mentioned showed a 5.42 for my 0-100, so maybe it is a bit off and should really be 5.9. The quoted power figure of my car is 250fwkw, So I should see around the 185rwkw, but I got 199.8rwkw so maybe the 0-100 time is 5.4 not 5.9 either way I am happy with either figure.

What would you expect from my car for the 0-100 time ?

Yep 100% stock when I ran it down the 1/4 (with under 10,000 km on the clock) and got that time, even with the same tyres and air filter it came out of the factory with. The only mod since then has been a BMC air filter which gave me just over 4rwkw extra.

As I said the quoted times for this car is a 0-100 in 5.9 and 1/4 mile in 14.2, well actually the quoted 1/4 is 14.18 to be exact.

Check out my website for the Factory stats on the T-Series, in particular this page:

I used the Calc that Casper mentioned earlier on in this thread...
http://www.tweak3d.net/videos/calcs/sixty.shtml

Thats why I said maybe it is a bit off, but according to ford specs its quoted at 5.9sec and motor mag did it in 5.8sec, So it is a sub 6sec 0-100 car.

My 1/8mile times are: 9.2251sec @ 78.25mph

How do you get the 1/8 mile time? Track? If so once again, can I see some proof, no offence, I've been down to the tracks and not seen a stock XR6 Turbo's pull what these guys/girls are pulling. Are you just halving your 1/4 mile times?

I only have my 1/4 time sheets and it does not state the time or the mph on it (was done at Willow Bank)

Thanks
Nik

Well for that you will need to go to the old forums..
http://www.fordforums.com/member.php...s&userid=10940

The 1/8mile is the 660ft mark which is printed on your timeslip.

There is a pic of the timeslip here:
http://members.oztralia.com/~goran/T.../hthct-114.jpg

I'm surprised the pic is still there as I left oztell a long time ago.

There's a few guys here that have done exhaust mods and are getting mid 13 1/4 times out of the AUIII T-Series, so my times are slow compared to them.

Nik,
There is no way to categorically prove any of these 0-100 times. You either believe them or you don’t.
Some are based on a calculator, others are based on a GTech run which is, in most cases, a 0-60 mph run as you said.
None of us has access to a high spec digital device for measuring speed as the use in the magazines, I wish we did.
As for mine, the timeslip that I calculated the “track” time is below, hopefully that’s enough proof. It was independently verified by a number of people off the forums who were there on the night and witnessed the run. XDC351 is one such member, feel free to PM him if you want proof.

As for the GTech time of 6.84 seconds, you’ll have to take my word for it. You can also take the word of any number of members on this site who know me personally, have been in my car and are well aware of what it can do. I doubt any of them would dispute that it is a sub 7 second 0-100 car.

So you are right, hard and fast evidence is not there however I personally have no need to lie. I have posted up a time I know the car will do, I have every faith that anyone who has been in my car will back it up.

Doubt if you must but I know my car, many others do to, and it is what I have claimed.

Jeez mate....that is a good time and only 8 mph difference between your six and a worked 5.6 T3.....You have to be happy with that. A very very respectable time for a car.... that most tend to underate. We need no proof of your times....you are one of the most honest and respected members on this forum.....and well liked by all.

Cheers.

Thanks mate, its not too bad a time although I plan on lowering it as soon as the weather cools a bit...maybe next month if I'm lucky.
As for proof, I think she has a right to ask and get a fair answer. She is new here so doesnt have the "history" of everyones cars etc.
I know what my car does and as you said, I have no reason or need to lie.

No need to thank me......we all know what type of person you are..fair...no BS...and just how it is...not many people get the oppotunity here,to be a super moderator without reflecting those good qualities...and i think that 99.9% of people on this forum would agree.

Cheers.

I don't care if you're a chick or a dude, mate, I don't believe your time of 7.1 in an spak. Not when my modified wagon does 8.93! We have seen no proof of your times at all, and even if you post a time slip, how do we know it's for your car? And how do we know it's not a 1/8th mile time, and you have just assumed it's 1/4 mile?

And if you get offended when someone calls you mate or dude, on a forum where sex is indeterminant from someone's username - especially when it's spelled wrong - then you are going to be offended a lot around here. Welcome!

Firstly are you a ****er? I never said my car was stock for starters. I found it hard to belive the times from the "stock"cars that were quoated.

I didn't know you used some special calculator to work your times out at the start and Tornado helped me see the light on that situation. I still don't belive that teh calculator is 100% accurate, as many have said it may or may not be.

Secondly my user name IS spelt right, I'm not a idiot, I may not know alot about the crud talked about but I do know some stuff.

CAI chip and zorst is not going to chop a second off you 0-100 time.

Before you go flaming some one about their user name or their sex, try looking in profiles... thats what they are there for!

Personally I'd love to know what proof you have to be making a statement like that, or any of the other dribble?

What knowledge of ecu tuning do you have ?
For starters chiptorque (just one of the chip makers/tuners) can modify nearly everything needed in the ecu bar the torque reduction.
Shift pressure alone can take quite a bit off your time
Optimizing Engine Tune also makes a difference. Falcons are known to be tuned on the super rich side from the factory some much worse than others. See 99% of before tune and after Dyno sheets ...
Bumping rpm limiters up can also benift some cars.
Thats all in a chip
A propally suited FULL exhaust And CAI + filter will give you a very noticeable gain in performance. It's not going to be a major power jump but none the less its there.
So I guess what i am trying to say is,
What grounds can you make that claim on, apart from your opinion ?
Oh and wheres YOUR proof ??????

I'll back AU2XRSV8's times 100% I've driven his ute, I've been passenger in his ute and i have raced him down the quarter as well.

Oh and just for the record, writing long term members off isnt a good idea here as you will find one of the mods will firmly insert their boot in your a$$. I can just see Casper polishing his boot up right now...:
