Now lets see, this is a hard one as over the years I have owned, Mk 2 Zephur, XW 351 ex police chaser, XC GXL 351/ 4 speed, XD wagon, XD van,XD sedan 400m/4 speed, ZB fairlane, XA 351/4speed, XB 351/4 speed, XC 400m Auto, FC LTD 351, EB V8 fairmont,NL V8 fairlane, XH XR6 ute, EB sedan, AU XR8 6speed,AU 6 ute, and my present rides Focus, BA XR8, BA XR6T ute.... I have 3 picks as I can't choose..1 the XW went like a cut cat and handled like a race car in its time ( I lost my licence 3 times in this one) 2 the XC GXL was a special build for a Ford Motor Company executive and it had everything(1 licence and I had to sell it for my House) 3 AU V8 I did alot to this car and it was an absolute dream to drive on the road and on the track. Worst: AU followed closely by the base model EL's
Is there a reason for that? I quite like my EL? |

a tough choice, In my life I've owned XE, XB, EB and now have an AUII. For toughness I would choose an XA coupe or sedan, love the old XR too, out of the E series I would have an ED, but hang on I like the EL's too, dam it this is too bloody hard so these are the Falcons I'm not too fussed about in no particular order,XL, XT, XD, EA, EF,AUI but I'll have one of each of the other models thankyou very much. Could'nt bring my self to votelove em all(most anywat)it:

I love the EF/Ls. Great looking Falcon.
If I could jack off to cars (if only!), the EL would be a huge favourite. |

ELs are just about the best looking E-Series ever, without question.

I do not think much of the EA-D series...didn't like the interiors, steering wheels or the EA's legend.
I like AUs too. But the BFII is the best Falcon model ever. Performance isn't everything. |

I voted for XF - I loved the model (shame it never had a V8 of course) and was biggest selling of the Blackwood series Xd-XF. I think my BA has some XF in it from some angles, especially the headlights. After XF, id go BA/BF (same thing really) and I have a sift spot for the EL XR series - very nice headlight treatment. Opps nearly forgot the XP Coupe.
Poll missed two models XG XH I know they were only Utes but

even tho i own an xb, and they had a couple of aussie firsts (rear discs, flashers), i voted the xe because they drive and handle so much better, and with some modification have good potential. And yes i have driven el's au's and ba's

XR Falcon.
Introduced a V8 engine across the range, a first in an Aussie built car (Chrysler was first but, it 273ci V8 was only avaliable as an option in the top-of-the-line Regal). Introduced the GT, First V8 to win at Bathurst and firing the first salvo in a performance car war that still rages today. Introduced the ZA Fairlane, a car that would dominate its market for 20+ years and lead to the development of the LTD and Landau. Won Wheels C.O.T.Y, at a time when the award actually ment something and following on from the win of the XP. Recognising all the hard work Ford had done to make the Falcon a truly Australian car. The car itself was such a shock when it came out, that it forced Holden to delay the launch of the HK a year so it could redevelop the front end of the vehicle to except the Chevrolet 307ci & 327ci V8s. Holden also made numerous styling changes to combat the XR's beautiful Coke bottle styling and forced them to create the Brougham, (a well documented flop) to compete against the Fairlane.

I cast 3 votes :
1) XB, or more accurately, the Hardtops, nothing looks as tuff as a tubbed hardtop 2) EL, notably the XR's, awesome looking cars (especially with colour-coded strips) 3) BF, the BF GT in lightning strike with orange stripes, no words needed : LukeyEL

We've had XB's , XD's , XE's , EB , EF, BA and BF..........phew
From all, I'd say the one I liked best would be the BA / BF models......especially the FPV variants. From POLL result thus far, looks like others here agree as well........... |

One car i wish i could have back again was '67XR. Fargon Classic. 4 on the floor with 250 2V head one of ony 950 odd engines produced (So ive been told) Sold it for $900 bucks 15years ago. What a ********. People always queried... whats in the girl a 302 or 351 Nope its a 250...
But i just love my Typhoon! BA Model preferably IMO much better styling kit than BF. BF kit Looks a little too animated and overdone. Therefore a vote for both... |

Look at a XB GS/GT In your rear vision mirror for the toughest looking front end around..Best car allround they have ever made would be the one rolling down the production line right now..Soon to be passed by the next model..

XA coupe, If ford had gone ahead with the Phase 4 program, xy's would be worth nothing compared to an XA, & the XA coupes still won Bathurst .
Change of body panels & they were an XC Coupe won again. They need big wheels though. Flame suit on! : |
