I heard raindrops on the pergola and rushed outside.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EaoBibAEHgM I actually felt raindrops on my face and was begging for it to **** down on me but sadly nothing much in it, won't register in a rain gauge. You're a cruel bitch I can only imagine what our farmers are going through when it's been so long even around here, that short moment made happy. |

Took my cat to the vet as he’d been listless, not eating and had diarrhoea for a few days. After losing the last one to throat cancer in his prime, I have been more vigilant with the health of this chap.
All good, apparently just a $150 wobbly tummy. |

Got asked by a mate, pub? So answer was yes. Asked another mate. Same answer. Wasn't a heavy drinking session, but it ended up at the slot car track and my mate buying new cars over my beat up thing with a bit of setup in it and tyres, yeah, still got 2 seconds per lap.

They warmed to me quickly, I spent $200 in two instalments and don't require three mates to help me haggle on a used wheel/tyre. Also politely ambushed an LPO in the yard for a laugh.
The place has come a long way since you’d lay in septic mud in the mid-90s to strip bumper brackets off an HQ. |

Ahh, pick and payless. It took me 6 months to find a dome light cover for my bf because every time i went there every single au to bf some bastard had broken the retainer tab trying to get it off the car. Did get a mandrell bent 2.5 inch exhaust which was rust free and almost new for $100 though. Only ever seen 1 snake in the yard, but im sure there is more. The most difficult part about that place has to be finding a $2 to get in...

Well today, i mean last night i had a mad time showing my mate whos boss at the slot car track, but really, my car, 7.2 on that track? It should have run 7 flat atleast. Is previous best was 6.894. 1 off, but still, a few 6.9s and 7 flat to 7.1 all day. So i wasnt happy with the car. So today i cleaned it up, sprayed what needed to be sprayed, adjusted everything adjustable and hit the track again. Granted i had the track to myself so no distractions and no other cars to worry about. 7.0 was easy. Anything in the 6.90s was not unusual. My car ran in the 6.8s a number of times 6.836 being the best. That i count as a 6.8 second lap. And the body doesnt rock any more superglue. It stayed intact and thats because it stayed on track. The front end is starting to bind a tad, yes i can re glue the fronts, but i dunno, that car should run 7.5 on that track with tyres and other then that its stock and does 6.83 so im more inclined to go and buy a faster car. Well, a faster car and make it faster. Well, not faster but corner better. Corners are where you get the lap times.

I nearly drove past the slot track today, just to see if there was a shiny Triton with service body out front.

Makes sense, pick and payless is in blacktown and thats not far from pendle hill. And just geeking out a bit i did also re rebuild my slot car. Round 4. But i dunno if its going to go faster, i did clearance a few rubbing points. Maybe 6.9 will be the new 7.0 consistant on that track. When funds permit i want to bit same chassis but wider wheelbase.

I wonder if Franks is now part of Gleeman's as I recall they opened another truck wreckers out there besides the Chipping Norton location.
Down here Universal truck wreckers (Shepparton) is also part of Gleeman's now.
