Are Ford Australia really monitoring this thread...how pathetic are Ford Australia being...sorry but this is the last Falcon, Ford should be on here releasing snippets and creating hype. I would love to see Ford Australia really engage with this forum with the last Falcon. Safe to say that the largest collective group of Ford Australia fans are the members on this forum!

I wouldn't be surprised if FORD was monitoring all social media for opinions on Ford. Pity, they don't take notice of opinions.

Quite like that escort rear end over the chopped versions we have seen so far, that with some "Falconisation" gets me a bit excited. TBH i hadn't really been that excited about this thing and had planned on getting stuck into my BA a bit more but this is making me hesitate (Again)
A Factory Supercharged XR8 with all the goodies of the FG GT not to mention the "Last Falcon" Aura might be too much to pass up, even if it puts me back into car debt. |

*qualifications: actually buying new Falcons and at reasonably intervals. Back when it was revealed that Ford were working on a Falcon-based SUV (E265 I believe it was called) I'm sure that social media would have been filled with 16 year olds stating that such a project is a joke because SUVs handle poorly and look ugly. Fortunately Ford ignored these and actually talked to customers, and they created the incredibly popular Territory. Quote:
And Ford have revealed images of the new Falcon... twice. I'd happily bet my house that if Ford did start revealing vague teaser photos of the new Falcon, you guys would all be on here whingeing about how bad the teaser pics are. Then, on the other hand, if Ford revealed the whole car now, you'd be whingeing about Ford revealing a car that won't go on sale for another 6 months. |

I have arthritis, and only 35 years old, heated seats help. I have had heated seats in my cars continuously since 2008. The VF offer them. I dont see why Fords "Flagship" G6E cant have them in 2014, seeing as though its competitor in 2008 had them (Accord V6 luxury)
I bought a FGm2 G6E, but i wont buy another without them Hate to stir the pot, im a genuine new car buyer, i buy 2 to 3 new cars (average $50k each) every couple years. I dont like going backwards with comfort.

You've been able to get all of that in the Mondeo for years... plus a whole lot more (blind spot warning, auto brakes, radar cruise control).

Sorry I forgot, there's still 10* people in Australia who want and are willing to part company with $40-70K for a large RWD sedan.
*I'll admit there's probably a few more than 10... maybe 100? I'd expect that the majority of people currently buying Falcon and Commodores (fleets) have no idea and don't care which wheels are driving. |

So would those who paid $70 odd for a 335 GT be upset to see an identically powered 335 XR8 for $50 odd? just asking

I wished to see a return to marketing of the old names for the final fling, with FX designation that someone already suggested, an S Pack, Futura, Fairmont and Ghia, usual XRs, Falcon GT/GTP/GTR, and a super duper fully-optioned model with some extra wood and chrome called the Ford Excelsior, or similar.

Dropping Fairmont and Ghia were the best thing that Ford did back in 2008..

They might seem ****y, but really, the only people I hear saying those sorts of gadgets are pointless are those people trying to feel good about owning their woefully underequipped Falcons. Honestly, unless Ford are going to sell the FH for a bargain price, why would you even look at it? |

I'm the first to admit my GT is very under equipped...for a GT. I know FPV chose to invest and focus on the motor which I think was the better option to take than investing in tech and gadgets. But Ford should have made greater tech advancements with the FG, especially when they knew what the VE had to offer and could also see what other makers like Hyundai were offering. Essentially to draw people away from other cars in the Ford sales yard, the Falcon needs to be more advanced than the Mondeo and Focus....otherwise what's the point of buying a Falcon when people could buy a cheaper, more economical more technically advanced Mondeo or Focus...it would be good if someone was looking at a new Focus and the sales person could say "why don't you look at the all new Falcon which is only slightly more expensive, however is safer, has more gadgets and features and is on par with fuel economy and it looks fantastic"...like I said, if a sales person can't say that about a Falcon, why would the average person consider one???
