That label designers of products like shampoo and conditioner, that people use in the shower, make the wording and instructions so small but forget that consumers don't wear their spectacles in the shower.

Tea.
A box of tea and a box of tea bags is identical except for minuscule writing down in a corner. Thank you not Twinings product design wonkers. Looks all very minimalist and is useless. |

Ha! Happened this morning when I asked the missus to grab some shampoo off the shelf for me - spent a long moment trying to identify between the shampoo and conditioner bottles. |

why is it
when you have everything sorted and are in a hurry an turn up to pick it up nobody can help but when you go there with time and want to check things out and what ever , they all seem to want to come help and be involved

Why is it that when you go to visit the dentist they put scratchy oversized black plastic lens glasses on you?
It it because if you see the " tools of an executioner " you will run away? I know they are small but they are scary and deadly, but what's with the glasses? Cheers Gummy |

Why is it, when you book into your hotel room there's always only one suit case stand to unpack on.
Usually there's 2 of you, so 2 suitcases. If you're like me and it's just a weekend I never unpack it all and put socks and jocks in the draws etc, we live out of the case but hang up shirts and dresses. So my case ends up on the couch or something.

Why is printers seem to die just after you have spent a small fortune on ink cartridges?
And of course, those cartridges don't fit the latest models.

So this is a 1st world problem, but why is it when 1 phone charger cord craps out, atleast 1 or 2 of the other ones you have kicking about the house also crap out within hours? Its not exactly difficult to get new phone cords, but its almost like the cords go 'jims dead, life is not worth living'.

Why is it Trevs new avatar freaks me out so much, the old avatar reminded me of some disgruntled old straw chewing, tobacco spittin cow cocky with an axe to grind!..against anyone!...
But this new avatar, well I dunno, not the idea in my mind about what Trev is, does not fit in well, maybe Barnaby Joyce would of been better, lol..... |

So my mate locked himself out his place this morning. Not so much an issue, i own his place so i do have a key. But he was innitially confused at my solution to not getting locked out. Pretty simple really. Close the door unlocked then lock it from the outside. It all made sense when i said reason being you cannot lock it from the outside if your keys are inside. I thought that was common knowledge. But apparently its not and a good solution.

A bit late, but I've been a bit busy lately.
Why is it....that prop guns are not designed to not be able to load live bullets??? As someone involved in OH&S and as an engineer, I'm rather familiar with the hierarchy of controls. The first level is elimination. Can you eliminate the use of a prop gun? Maybe. Perhaps you could cgi it n, but I understand that some producers like the realism of a gun that recoils, etc. The next is substitution. Then engineering. Design a gun, only intended to be used as a prop on a movie set, such that it can't load anything other than a blank round that is designed only to be used in a prop gun. Yes, I appreciate that it may be costly, but surely the risk of someone accidentally loading a live round and pointing it at a camera is too high. As it was in this case. To simply be relying on administrative controls, where human error means that someone dies, is ludicrous! Absolutely stunned that a gun that can be loaded wit a live round is still allowed on a film set in this day and age. I suspect this incident will be the catalyst needed to make serious change to the way these props are designed and used into the future. Unfortunate that it took the death of someone to act as the change agent.

Very good point. When reading about this incident I started thinking how surprising it hasn't happened sooner!
Wouldn't be too difficult to modify a good replica to remove the danger without losing the "actions" of the gun when being fired. |

I wanna know how a young girl or man, but girl in this case, I read a little about her, her dad was a film set armourer before her, he must of retired ( or been shot )...lol.
But she was only a kid really and that's an issue, it's happened before with Bruce Lee's son Brandon Lee, he was killed on set by the wadding plug in the pistol cartridge. Not sure if they have a Nationwide OHS or like Australia this stupid State by State or Territory Workcover. What do you say, I mean Americans love their guns, fullstop, when I was prospecting, my .410 always had a rocksalt cartridge loaded, it had a big "S" on it in paintpen, mainly to keep snakes at bay, like to make a big noise, not harm em. |
